Someone called pretending to be from the bank, saying our daughter urgently needed £1,600 and gave a sort code and account to send it to. My husband actually went to the bank but they wouldn’t release any money. The caller rang back while he was out and then called again when he got home. We’re both in our late 70s and my husband has dementia, so it’s all quite worrying.

Right after I picked up, the call connected immediately, which was a dead giveaway it was one of those automated scam centres. They were pretending to be from Amazon, talking about some issue with my account and trying to fish out my bank info. Got a call supposedly from Amazon, saying someone had purchased a phone using my account. They asked if I was aware of the purchase. I played along and said yeah, it was me, and then they just started shouting all sorts of horrible and nasty stuff at me. Quite shocking!

Just got a call from someone saying they were Amazon Security. Thing is, I’ve never even set up an Amazon account! Definitely a scam trying to trick me. Watch out, folks!

I received a rather dubious call earlier, where the person on the line claimed that an iPhone had been linked to my Amazon account and asked if I could verify it. Naturally, I didn't entertain the conversation for long and promptly ended the call. To be on the safe side, I logged into my account and found no orders of any sort. I've gone ahead and flagged this call with Amazon for their attention.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Amazon Security, telling me someone had attempted to purchase a phone using my account. They asked if I’d seen the email about it. When I said no, they just hung up straight away. Watch out for these sorts of calls!

On Friday 17th December 2021 around 10:28, I got a call on my landline from 02037690653. The person claimed to be from Amazon and said it was about a parcel delivery. What worried me was that they already knew my home address, which I find quite odd. Not sure how they found out. Could someone please look into this?

So, I got a call from someone with a sketchy voice claiming to wanna use my info to buy a phone worth £700 on Amazon. She kept asking me to get on my computer. Felt dodgy, so I just ended the call.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Amazon, saying there was a purchase of a £700 phone on my account. They asked me to get on my computer, but when I said I was busy, they just ended the call. The guy had a really strong British accent - maybe he’s seen the feedback here!

Just as mentioned in the earlier posts, I received a call from someone claiming they attempted to purchase an iPhone using my Amazon account. When I firmly told him to take a hike, he resorted to crude insults, even making a vile comment about doing something appalling. It's shocking how utterly daft and completely repugnant some people can be.

When I picked up the call I didn't give my name. The bloke claimed to be from Amazon and said there was a purchase of a smartphone on my account the night before. I told him I don't even have an account with them. He kept going anyway. I then asked who the account was in, and he gave me a totally different name. I just said “Alright, must be a mix-up. Cheers” and ended it. Pretty obvious it was a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Amazon, saying there was a suspicious purchase on my account. They told me to look on my laptop for an email from Amazon and claimed it wouldn’t come through on my phone. I ended the call straight away. Then, the bloke had the nerve to ring me back asking why I hung up! Let’s just say I wasn’t very polite. He’s definitely earned a spot on Santa’s blacklist this year.

Phone rang but no voicemail, they just hung up straight away. Noticed loads of others doing the same thing from numbers like 02011182887, 02031296276, 02031546415 and quite a few more - about 35 similar calls in total. All are just silent rings with no message left, so thought I’d warn others. Seems to be a pattern with these numbers!

I got a call from someone calling himself "Alan" claiming to be from Amazon. He said they were trying to deliver a camera I supposedly ordered, but it was going to some place in Devon, even though I don't live anywhere near there or in Reading, which he also mentioned. I told him I hadn’t bought any camera from them. Then he asked if I’d got an email about it. I asked him to tell me what email address they’d sent it to, but he said he didn’t know. When I said I needed that info, he just hung up. Felt like I came out on top with that one.

Best to just hang up on these lot. They claimed to be with Amazon’s security team, saying they were checking out a pricey phone bought using my account. Then they told me to put some info into my laptop, said an iPad wouldn’t work. I decided to cut the call short right there. The call came from 02037690653.

Got a call from 02037690653, a bloke with a really strong Asian accent. He said his name was Alexei and claimed he was ringing from Amazon. I cut him off and asked if his mum and dad taught him to be dishonest and cheat. He hung up straight away - definitely a scammer.

Got a call today, 18/11/21, from a bloke saying someone was trying to make an Amazon account with my info. He told me not to check my emails on an iPad, but on a computer instead. Thought it was fishy, so I just ended the call right away.

I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent, claiming to be from Amazon. He was asking if I’d seen any emails this morning about my Amazon account, something about smartphones or whatever. Told him I hadn't got any messages. Then he started pushing me to get on my PC and check again. That really got on my nerves, so I told him to stop wasting time and get a real job instead of trying to scam people. He kept butting in while I was speaking, so I just hung up. Blocked the number straight away.
