I received a phone call from someone identifying himself as Alex representing the Estate Protect Group. He mentioned something about safeguarding my house from being sold for care fees. Apparently, he operates out of South London. It felt a bit scripted, as though he was reading from some notes, and when I asked for his last name, he refused to share that information. The call ended abruptly after that.

Was asked if I had a driveway to park in, I said yes. They told me someone would come by the next day as they were swamped today. Then they asked if morning or afternoon suited me better. I explained I don’t own the place, to check with my landlord. They wanted the landlord's number, which I gave them. The call ended super fast after that. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

This number looks quite a lot like another one that rang me a few days ago, which I also didn’t pick up. We’re on the TPS and our number’s unlisted, so I’m pretty sure it was just another dodgy scam call.

I reckon it was something to do with insulation. I didn’t actually talk to the bloke or reply, just left the phone nearby so he could catch the online meeting I was in. He kept rabbiting on and waiting for answers that never came. You could tell he wasn’t really paying attention to what was being said ‘cos he carried on like folks had already answered him.

This bloke called 'Simon' kept saying he was an energy advisor for my area’s postcode. OFCOM really should do something about these scammers using fake caller IDs - it’s ridiculous. My phone shows the number, so I recognised those dodgy 0203 and 0204 numbers straight away ('Alex' pops up a lot too). Go ahead and mess with them as much as you want but whatever you do, don’t give out any of your details. And seriously, don’t hold back, be as cheeky as you like!

Got a call from someone named Simon who said he was from my local energy company but didn’t actually mention which one or even where I lived. The whole thing sounded like a dodgy pre-recorded message with weird silences, just trying to trick you. Then, about an hour later, Simon rang again but this time from a Manchester number - bit quick to have switched offices for that second call! I’ve had five calls from this same annoying number today alone. Definitely looks like a SCAM to me.

I rang the number back and got a voicemail saying it was from some company, might be spelled something like 'Velistastica' or maybe starting with an 'f', not too sure. They mentioned doing surveys about insulation and medical alert gadgets. After the message, there’s an option to stop getting calls in the future. I don’t really think it’s a scam, just a really annoying cold call. Still, I’d be careful with them. There’s no info about the company online that I could find anywhere.
