As it happens, we do have some refurbishment planned, and they mentioned that someone from a local business would be in touch. Curious, we took to the web and found that this 0203.. number had been looked up over 70 times in just one day, with numerous inquiries coming from all over England. Interestingly, we discovered that a local council in Herefordshire had flagged similar calls as scams on their website. When they eventually returned our call (within half an hour, from a withheld number, no less), we graciously informed them that we weren't interested and promptly ended the conversation. So, a word of caution to others: these callers can be quite tenacious.
