Got a call today from someone saying they were from Google. They had the wrong business postcode and asked me to log in while still on the phone - that instantly made me wary. I tried to hang up a few times and finally managed to get off the call. Definitely planning to block the number as I’m not convinced it was genuine.

020 is defo a London code. So if it shows up on my phone as 'International', I know it’s gotta be a scam. I just pressed 'Block' and that’s that - no more calls from that number, at least.

They rung me twice yesterday and once more today. Every time I answered, they hung up right away.

SCAM ALERT! My phone displayed this as a bogus number coming from overseas with a ROBOTIC VOICE that was just gibberish! Honestly, it gave me a good chuckle. BT could STOP this rubbish in a heartbeat, but I guess they care more about their shareholders.

Got a really pushy bloke from Asia saying he can help with my business’s Google profile. I’m quite suspicious and don’t wanna say much in case it’s some kind of scam. Told him to stop ringing me or else I’ll have to report him to the police if he keeps at it!

Called me but didn’t leave a voicemail. Looked up the number and it’s been blocked now.

Got a call at 6:25pm today. Let it ring out but no message was left. Feels pretty suspicious to me. If it’s one of those call centres from India, then they must be working late (around 10:45pm there) and might be using data from Google in a dodgy way. These places probably get paid rubbish and maybe they’re trying to make extra cash. They shouldn’t be allowed to use a UK number. BT really needs to put an end to this.

A guy with an Asian accent calling from Google, asking for company info to verify. He was really pushy. When I asked for his number to ring him back, he refused to give it. Then he claimed I didn’t wanna keep talking but wouldn’t listen and just kept on, so I had to end the call.

Proper pushy bloke on the phone. I didn’t entertain him one bit. Said there’s some problem with my Google account he wanted me to fix. I told him to send me something official in writing since he apparently knows all about my details - that didn’t seem to sit well with him. He kept asking again, but I asked again for proof. Got fed up with his bossy tone and told him I’d end the call, and that’s exactly what I did.

This was a proper call - I was sorting out my Business profile on Google. They never asked for my password or to download anything dodgy. The person on the phone told me to put a code into a real Google webpage to check my business, and now everything’s done and sorted.

Got a robotic voice saying "this isn't a sales call" and they'll ring back right away, then the call just ends. They seem to use a number like '02037019778' so make sure you block both those numbers on your phone.

Same as others have said, this bloke kept pushing and wouldn't clearly say why he was ringin me out of the blue. I just ended it quickly and put the phone down.

Sounded legit. They walked me step by step on how to handle my website settings in 'Google Family'. Bit unusual to get a call about that, but they never asked for any passwords or bank info or anything.

kept getting calls from a guy with an accent who claimed he was from google, then changed it to saying he was calling for google when i questioned him. he kept pushing that i would lose my online business listing if i didnt go along with his stuff. really annoying bloke, definitely should be reported.

Honestly, the initial commenter sounds like they could be part of this scam! The number isnt real, they claim they're from google fixing problem. They called my old neighbour who doesnt even own a computer or mobile to use google with. She didnt mention this and they went ahead saying they found a problem on her google account and all that _ total scam.

I spoke with Google about the calls from this number, but they couldnt help at all, just said its got nothing to do with them. The people on the phone keep telling me i need to fix my google account and that they can help, but it sounds like total rubbish and i reckon its just a scam.

Got a call earlier today - someone was asking me to confirm my address on Google Maps through Chrome or whatever, seemed dodgy so I just ended the call. They rang back again later in the afternoon.
