They've been ringing me almost every day for the past six weeks. I thought I’d managed to block them but apparently not. I’ve now gone ahead and reported it as a nuisance. Might be some sort of scam.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had about six calls from them, but luckily my phone stops any calls from numbers I don’t know.

Got calls from a number I didn’t know, no voicemail either. It rang a few times over a couple of days. Luckily some folks on here helped me figure out it was best to block it.

I got a call from someone claiming I’d won a prize in a Ryanair contest. When I told them I wasn’t falling for it, the lady got a bit defensive, insisting it wasn’t a con since she already knew my name, then just suddenly ended the call.

Got a call claiming I’d won some Ryanair lottery. When I told the woman I wasn’t buying it and thought it was dodgy, she just said “why would it be a scam when I’ve got your name?” and then ended the call. Strange and a bit suspicious if you ask me.

This person rang me up saying I'd won some kind of advent calendar prize and that I was part of a lottery group run by ITV. Asked me for my bank details, like my sort code and account number, so they could send the winnings. Felt really dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone who already knew my name and told me I’d joined a contest to win free KFC meals. I told them I definitely hadn’t. They insisted I signed up yesterday. I said I was pretty sure what I did yesterday, then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from an Indian woman who kept asking if I was Mr and then my first name. She wanted me to confirm my name but I asked her who she was first. She said it was about a competition I supposedly joined last month. I told her I hadn’t entered anything like that. She insisted maybe I’d forgotten, but I said no way. Then she just said thanks and ended the call.

My wife keeps getting calls from an unknown number on her phone. She never picks up because she doesn’t recognise it. The phone just keeps ringing and then suddenly stops right before she can even hear the voicemail greeting. It’s really annoying and feels like they’re just messing about, wasting time!

I got three calls from this number, they kept asking me loads of questions about some competition I supposedly won, and also mentioned something about lottery prizes. They even had my full name, address, and the name of my bank. But as soon as they started asking for my bank info, I cut the call and blocked them. Not falling for that nonsense!

This number keeps straight up sending me missed call notifications, but my phone itself doesn’t actually ring. My network just sends me a text saying I missed a call. Since I've got a spending limit on my plan preventing any paid calls, I’m guessing this number must be one of those that costs money to call, which is prob why it never gets through or rings on my end.

Got a call from someone asking me to give my bank sort code and account number. They then passed me onto a manager, but I just hung up. Not long after, they rang back and were quite agressive when I refused to share my details. They claimed I’d won something on the lottery, but then started talking about paying £39 a month for 300 entries on the EuroMillions. Pretty clear they were after my bank details to set up some kind of ongoing payment.

This number keeps popping up on my phone but I never pick up anymore cause of all the dodgy calls I've had lately. They never bother to leave a message either. After reading the reviews here, I think I'll just block it for good.

Got a call claiming I had won some sort of Tesco competition plus free tickets for a lottery happening tonight. The person on the line told me not to share personal info on the phone, which already seemed odd because right after that, they asked for my Halifax sort-code. I wasn’t having any of it, so I just ended the call and blocked the number. Seemed pretty genuine at first, but I could tell it was dodgy straight away. Watch out for these scams!

Someone rang me saying I’d won a Tesco gift card and some free lottery entries for tonight. When I said I hadn’t joined any draws, she just brushed it off, saying life gets busy and things slip your mind. Then she asked if I was over 18 and promised she’d handle all the details so I wouldn’t have to stress. That’s when I decided to end the call and hung up.

Got a call about winning 10 lottery tickets and was asked to choose my lucky numbers. They said if I won, the money would be paid straight into my bank account. When I asked about giving my bank details, they insisted they only needed my sort code and account number. I said no and ended the call. After looking it up here, it’s clearly a con. I got a missed call from this number and normally I ignore calls from unknown numbers, but every now and then I pick up just in case it’s something urgent. It’s annoying how loads of folks either don’t have caller ID or are so paranoid about missing something important that they answer every ring. It’s really sad that some people stoop so low, trying to steal personal info or maybe even cash from others. I don’t understand how they sleep at night doing stuff like that.

Their accent gave it away straight away, clearly English wasn’t their first language. They told me I’d won free lines in a lottery happening tonight, run by an independent syndicate from some online competition I supposedly entered. They tried to sound convincing by ‘confirming’ my details, but half of them were mixed up with my neighbour’s names, addresses and birthdays! All they needed now, apparently, were my bank details to ‘verify’ my identity and get the prize paid straight in. When I asked for the competition info, proof of the prize, and the terms and conditions to be emailed over before I gave anything, they said they couldn’t send anything until I handed my info over. They kept pushing pretty hard - hope they don’t fool some older or vulnerable folks into this scam. I’d been half expecting a call from Currys about my washing machine delivery, not this nonsense!

Their accent gave it away straight away, English definitely wasn’t their strong suit! They said I’d been picked for a competition by some independent syndicate, winning free phone lines in tonight’s lottery - obviously all made up. When they tried to “confirm” my info, they mixed up my own name with my neighbours’ addresses and birthdays, which was a dead giveaway. They kept saying all they needed were my bank details so they could “verify” me and send the prize money - yeah right! I asked them nicely to send me an email with the competition details, the exact prize, and the terms and conditions, but they said no can do until I gave them my personal information. They didn’t give up easily either, quite pushy. Honestly, I worry they might scam someone older who doesn’t spot the warning signs and falls for it. Funny enough, I was actually expecting a call from Currys about a washing machine delivery, not some dodgy scam like this!

Sounded pretty legit at first - claimed I’d won some prize from a Morrison’s draw. Since I do my shopping there, I didn’t pay it much mind. They even had all my info down - address, email, birthday, all that. Bit suspicious though when they asked for my bank details, saying I’d got a free lottery chance too. I told the bloke I was on my work phone and couldn’t grab those details right then. He said he’d ring back later after I finished work. Yeah, he’s definitely blocked now!

I got a call today and wasn’t sure if it was dodgy or a scam. They said I could win a Tesla by answering three questions in a survey through an email.
