I must say, it appears that every last one of these companies is nothing short of a complete scam. They gather your personal information and then proceed to rinse your bank account dry. The most despicable ones go a step further, employing a so-called "paralegal" agency that contacts you under the guise of recovering your lost funds, only to plunder your account yet again. This underhanded tactic is often referred to as "double-dipping" within the industry. Here in the UK, the sole legitimate body that represents timeshare interests is EUROC.

I received a call yesterday from a chap named Robert Rowlands using this number on the 9th of December, 2020. I attempted to return the call today, only to find the voicemail box completely packed. He mentioned he’d get in touch again this coming Monday and expressed an interest in scheduling a Zoom meeting to guide me through the money reclaiming process. To be honest, I'm not really a fan of Zoom, so I'm not holding my breath for his call. After doing a bit of searching online, I stumbled upon this website, which makes me suspicious-possibly a scam? Fortunately, they haven’t requested any financial details or my bank info as of yet; he just rang my landline.

I got caught out by these lot because they didn’t ask for any cash upfront, but when I searched for 'Timeshare Support Centre', nothing came up. So, I emailed the Timeshare Consumer Association and they told me the company isn’t registered with Companies House or Infosif, which is what they use in Spain. I’ve since called off our Zoom meeting and the association has put them on their fake company list.

Finally got the call I was waiting for from "Aegis Direct SL" out of Tenerife. They suddenly went quiet when I said my husband needed to join a video call. From what I found, they started up in April 2020 but there’s no proof they’re actually legal experts. Plus, they seem linked to other timeshare companies like "securemyclaim". I also came across a dodgy outfit called "sellmytimeshare" from Stratford that sounds really fishy. I’ll update if I find out anything else.

I just got a call from a really polite bloke, wanting to arrange a Zoom chat with me, my husband and someone from their Legal team. He said our Timeshare was sold to us unlawfully and they could help us get some sort of compensation. After a bit, I told him I was done with the call, especially when I asked what they stood to gain and he dodged the question, saying it wasn’t really my concern.
