Every single one of these groups is a total rip-off - they collect your info and then drain your bank accounts. The worst offenders even hire so-called "para legals" who contact you pretending to help recover your money after you’ve been scammed, but end up emptying your account again. This sneaky practice is often called "double-dipping" in the business. Over here in the UK, the only genuine organisation that actually looks out for timeshare owners is EUROC.

Yesterday, a bloke named Robert Rowlands rang me from this number, 9/12/20. When I tried ringing him back today, his voicemail was full. He mentioned he'd call again on Monday and wanted to set up a Zoom meeting with an expert to explain how to get my money back. I’m not really into Zoom calls, so I’m not convinced he’ll bother calling again. I looked them up online and found this website, which makes me think it’s some kind of scam. They haven’t asked for any bank details or cash yet though - it was my landline he used.

I got caught out by these lot because they didn’t ask for any cash upfront, but when I searched for 'Timeshare Support Centre', nothing came up. So, I emailed the Timeshare Consumer Association and they told me the company isn’t registered with Companies House or Infosif, which is what they use in Spain. I’ve since called off our Zoom meeting and the association has put them on their fake company list.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Citizens Advice about timeshares. They were going on about issues with timeshare properties and wanted me to do a video chat with one of their "advisors" who'd ask me loads of questions. I've had dodgy cold callers like this before - it’s never about helping, they’re just after more of your cash.

Finally got the call I was waiting for from "Aegis Direct SL" out of Tenerife. They suddenly went quiet when I said my husband needed to join a video call. From what I found, they started up in April 2020 but there’s no proof they’re actually legal experts. Plus, they seem linked to other timeshare companies like "securemyclaim". I also came across a dodgy outfit called "sellmytimeshare" from Stratford that sounds really fishy. I’ll update if I find out anything else.

Received a call about some kind of compensation for timeshares, said it was no win no fee, which sounded a bit legit since I've had a bunch of scammers ask for money upfront before. After a bit, I told him I was done with the call, especially when I asked what they stood to gain and he dodged the question, saying it wasn’t really my concern.
