Fraudulent "National Do Not Call Register"! I received a call on the 18th of December, 2015, from these chaps who provided me with a number for their so-called "customer service". Remarkably, they already had my name, address, and phone number! They attempted to provide me with a "Call Blocker Device" for a mere £1.90 a month over three years, but insisted I could only pay via credit card during the call. Goodness knows what they would have done with my details had I succumbed! When I was transferred to a supposed "supervisor", he had the audacity to ask which customer service number had been given to me! I cheekily responded with a slightly altered number and, to my shock, he agreed it was spot on! I played along, claiming my wife had the card and inquired if I might send a cheque instead, or perhaps ring them back when she got home. At that point, they abruptly lost interest and ended the call. The irony is I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet this clearly seemed like it was coming from an Indian Call Centre.
