Someone called my home and asked for me by my last name. When I asked where they got my details from, they said I had filled out a survey, which I definitely have not done. I told them I’m on the telephone preference service and they shouldn’t be ringing me. Then they just hung up on me.

I got a call from them about my whirlpool washing machine, which I don’t even own. The guy asked what model I had, and I told him I didn’t have one. Then he started spouting the same nonsense as mentioned before. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he just wouldn’t listen and wouldn’t remove my number from their list. I signed up with the TPS too, but it’s not doing any good :( They keep calling me every single day.

Some random person rang asking about my washing machine, and I could hear loads of chat and noise like a call centre in the background. They even knew my name! I just hung up, but they kept ringing me again and again, so now I screen my calls. One time I even answered and held the phone next to my blaring radio, but they still kept calling afterwards.

Complete con. I got a call a couple days back asking about the brand of my washing machine. When I said it was indesit, they just ended the call. Today, they phoned again saying my indesit warranty needed to be renewed. When I told them I wasn't interested, they cut me off straight away. Just trying to scam folks. Bastards.

On Wednesday, 23rd March 2016, at around 3 PM, I received a rather dubious call from a gentleman on the number 0203 637 5639. He claimed to be calling about the insurance for my Hotpoint washing machine, which he said was set to expire today and asked if I’d be interested in renewing right away. It took me mere moments to see through this ruse - my washing machine is over eighteen years old and has been covered by Domestic and General for yonks! I promptly terminated the call; clearly, it was a scam of the highest order!

These muppets have rung me up three times this week. Today, on the third call, out of sheer boredom, I humoured the bloke, acted like I was interested in his sales spiel, and when he finished, I kept pestering him about the colour of his socks. Then I told him I'd only think about the warranty if he sent a photo of his left knee with a smiley face doodled on it. I know, maybe I need to act my age a bit more! :)

Oh, these callers who just waste your time and get on your nerves! I usually mess with them by asking what brand of toothpaste they’re using. You can totally make up your own silly tale, like saying you bought it 'cause a mate recommended it or something. Once, I managed to keep one chatting for nearly an hour!
