So this is how the chat went down: Caller said: "I'm ringing about your accident." I replied, "I've never been in an accident, and I don’t even hold a driving licence." The caller then said, "That's a shame, means you won’t be getting any cash." I was like, "Wait, what?" Then they suggested, "You should get into an accident, you could claim some money." I told them, "That’s terrible advice, I definitely don’t want to be in an accident." They just hung up after that.

Out of nowhere, a guy called John from some accident helpdesk started talking. I told him the person they wanted had died and told him to stop calling. Honestly, it's a total waste of time. Don’t pick up if it rings or just tell them to jog on if you do.

This number, along with one that’s almost the same, rings me nearly every day. Then they follow up with a text asking if I’ve got any PPI claims or flights I missed that I could get cash back from. I wish that were true! I haven’t flown in ages, so unless I’m gonna fib, they’re just wasting their time. Honestly, can’t these callers just vanish?
