She actually seemed glad to carry on the chat even when I started firing back some daft questions. I got the feeling she reckoned she was clever, but if that’s true, how come she’s stuck in this rubbish job??? Proper weirdos. Honestly, just keep dragging it out - they’ll either have to rethink their whole approach, shut down, or drive their workers mad so noone will stick around in this miserable, pointless role any longer.

Got a call from an Ipswich number, 01473 671281, but the woman on the line spoke with a proper Liverpool accent! She claimed it was some kind of follow-up from Swift Management, yet she couldn’t give me any info apart from my name, the number she called from, and an address she wouldn’t say. I told her it felt like a cold call, she denied it, but really couldn’t give me anything to make me think otherwise.

They’ve been ringing me every day but never properly say who they are. I’ve started picking up just to mess about and see how long I can hold them on the line. Yesterday, some bloke claimed he was a witness to an accident I supposedly had. Funny thing is, I never saw him because apparently, he was invisible then. I asked if there was a court case involved and he said yes. When I pointed out it sounded dodgy for him to be both a witness and work for a claims outfit, he brushed it off and said it was all a dream anyway. Bit of a laugh, though not very professional.

To those saying be polite - nope, these lot should be stopped from calling, they’re like pest! If you don’t agree, that’s on you. All this accident claim fishing is what caused the Jackson reforms back in 2010, and now legit claims get 25% less compensation thanks to these firms and government changes.

Just got a call from a woman with a strong Liverpool accent, claiming I’ve been allocated at least £1500 because of some neck pain I might have had! Seemed really suspicious to me. When I asked which company she was from, she said something like Swift Management and that they work with Swift and other insurers. I wasn’t buying it at all. She then asked if I’d be alright with a solicitor ringing me tomorrow. I said yes, just to see what happens. She kept calling me “love” throughout the call - bit creepy! Definitely not answering when they call back tomorrow. Total scam!

But if you just tell them you haven’t been in an accident and aren’t being rude, everyone there will just hit number 5, which means “DO NOT CALL BACK,” and you won’t get any more calls from them. If you’re having a rough day and get a call, there’s no need to be nasty to the people on the other end - they’re only trying to earn a living. Plus, if you really have had an accident, they can offer support. I only worked there for about a month and managed to help around six people claim compensation they didn’t even realise they could get, each receiving at least £500.

i keep getting calls from this firm about a car crash from around three years ago. the worst bit is, my folks died on the ms about that time. you probably know the one i mean if you think back. its no use them saying “we’re just trying to make money” when we’re struggling to rebuild our lives. if they really wanted to help, they’d push the government to tighten the rules on fireworks and make sure third party liability insurance only goes to people with a proper licence, not just some city and guilds accreditation.

They seem to be an organised bunch, swapping or selling your info between them - claiming you've had an accident in the past couple of years and can make a claim. Like seriously!!! Whisper something silly like "what are you wearing" down the phone - normally it throws them off or just say no to whatever they say even if it’s true and wait for the next insurance firm to ring. If the same company or caller keeps ringing, it’s just harassment so report it to the Police or your phone provider but honestly, I wouldn’t bet on much happening.

Beware of a dodgy outfit calling itself Claims Advice Helpline or just CAH. They ring you from lots of different numbers, all of which I’ve tried calling back, and after a short pause there’s someone on the line who only says CAH and nothing else. It’s clearly a scam.
