I got a call from 02062005935 with a recorded voice saying I'd be arrested for fraud if I didnt reply and to press 1 to talk to them. I hung up straight away and looked up the number here. I'm now blocking it and reporting it as an HMRC phishing attempt.

Got a call saying it was from the tax office about some investigation. They said the legal team want to take action and offered to put me through to an investigator. Definitely a phishing scam, I just ended the call straight away.

Some guy from a firm called AAIB (or something like that, couldn't catch it right) called me saying I’d been in a car crash. When I told him I hadn't, he switched gears and started asking if I'd suffered any medical mistakes! It’s another 0203 number that’s just a total nuisance, really getting on my nerves. From now on, I’m ignoring all calls from 0203. At this rate, I might stop picking up my phone altogether.

Looks like an insurance con. Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent who "passed" me onto their claims team, but it just sounded like he handed the phone to his mate nearby. They claimed I was owed around £3k to £5k for an accident I supposedly had, but he had zero info about it - obviously a made-up story. Said I’d receive a cheque in a few weeks from some third party. Total rubbish, really.

The number seemed familiar, so I picked up straight away and just said, "What do you need?" The guy, who sounded Asian, claimed to be from BT and said there was a problem with my router (which I knew wasn’t true). He offered to guide me through fixing it - yeah right, I was already suspicious. He asked me to switch on my computer so he could send me a link to sort it out. I asked what the issue was, and he said he'd explain once I was online. Realising it was a total scam, I said, “This isn’t about scamming, is it? Just like this call,” to which he replied, “No ma’am, not scamming, I just want to help.” By then I’d had enough, so I told him I was hanging up because he was obviously trying to con me.
