Picking up scam calls just tells them your number’s active, and then they end up passing it around to loads more spammers. I also find it handy to block numbers after a dodgy call. I never pick up numbers I don’t recognise, simple as that.

Got a robocall with some voice recognition system that supposedly understands what you say and picks answers based on that. It claimed "I heard you were in an accident" right off the bat. When I asked who gave them that info, the automated lady said it was from some Road Traffic Accident Group. Curious, I then asked her the exact name of this "group" so I can report them for leaking my personal data, but the bot just rambled on about damages with no real answer. Got a call from someone called "Hannah." It was definitely a robot, cos when I asked "are you a robot?" she said "no." Then when I said "I reckon you are," she replied "we’ll take you off our calling list." Haha, Hannah, if I figure out where you’re based, I’m coming over to splash water over your circuits and yank your plug out!

Got a ring from this number, and the area code was London, so I thought I'd look it up online. To my surprise, it turned out to be an annoying caller. Next time they try, I might just tell them I’m no longer around because of an accident. Please, no more calls. Cheers.

I got a call asking whether I’d been in a car crash. The lady’s voice sounded super robotic, like one of those automated things. Must be a scam for sure. Saw loads of other people saying the exact same thing on different sites, all on the same day too.

Got a call from someone called Hannah claiming to be from Injury Claim Law, saying I’d been in an accident. I told her that it hadn’t happened, and she asked if I might have just forgotten about it. I joked that maybe I had amnesia from the accident I couldn’t remember. She just hung up on me. Guess that was gonna be an interesting chat. Afterwards, I checked with the TPS and filed a complaint since I’m registered with them.

Its really annoying getting calls all the time from the same number, and ive had this one ringing me quite a bit. Ive just been blocking it straight away thinking it was a scam or something dodgy. Wish there was a proper system to catch these callers and sort them out once and for all.

Got a call from some woman named Hannah asking if I’d been in a no-fault car crash in the past three years. I told her no, and she tried to argue with me about it. I just said thanks for the call and blocked her number straight away - my phone’s full of them now. This all started after I had a tiny bump back in February 2015. Although I’ve said there were no injuries, I keep getting loads of calls saying there’s money waiting for me to claim. There’s one bloke who keeps ringing from different Manchester numbers and gets really pushy even when I remind him he’s called before. Honestly, I don’t know how to make it stop, seems like no matter what, the calls just keep coming.

I don’t even have a car! She never said what company she was calling for either. Best to just BLOCK and IGNORE - caller didn’t say who they were.

Since switching our phone provider a few weeks back, my husband and I have both gotten calls from someone called "hannah". I'm guessing our numbers might have been passed on somewhere. We've gone ahead and added our numbers to the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) now.

Got a random call from some place about filing a car accident injury claim from the past couple of years. I played along and tapped yes on the robot voice just for laughs. When they finally connected me, I asked where they’d found my number, but they brushed off the question. Then out of nowhere, I got looped into a three-way call with the call centre agent and some other bloke chatting openly about his injury claim. Absolutely priceless! - caller: unknown injury claim

I got a call about some compensation for a recent accident I'd been in, but the person didn’t seem to know anything about me - not even my name or what kind of car I was driving. They even tried to guess my injuries, which was pretty dodgy, so I ended the call. Since then, they’ve been ringing non-stop every single day. Plus, the background noise made it sound like they were maybe outside or somewhere strange. This all started on 20-6-15 and I haven’t picked up for them since. Definitely felt like a scam - number was 020 3634 9832.
