Consumer Solutions kept ringing me, and this lady kept calling me 'love', which was a bit much. She started off by asking if I shopped at Tesco or Sainsbury's, saying I'd won a £10 voucher. Then she kept throwing in random questions about my age, if I owned my home, whether I'd been in an accident, or even delayed at the airport. Got a bit much, so I just ended the call. Don’t count on getting any kind of voucher from them, it’s a waste of time!

Got a call from some call centre wanting to know if I’d shopped at Sainsbury’s or Tesco. When I asked what it was about, they said they were sending me a £10 voucher. They even knew my postcode, which was a bit creepy. Then they started asking my age and if I was working. I didn’t reply to that. After telling me to keep an eye out for the voucher, they just hung up. It was a strange experience and pretty annoying.

I blocked the number thinking it was a nuisance, so I tried calling back and heard some American voice saying “activate now” - sounded like one of those money-saving scams. You can call an 0080 number to supposedly deactivate it, but nah, I’m not falling for that. I’d rather block the call and report it to the ICO.

Normally I’d just let them chat away while I did something else, but since I was waiting for another call, I just interrupted and said the 10 seconds were done, then hung up.

Got a call from this number earlier, but they didn’t leave any voicemail. And for anyone worried about TPS rules, remember it’s only for direct sales calls and usually when a person is ringing you. Market research calls don’t fall under that, plus automated recorded calls aren’t really covered by TPS either.

this lady called me and actually knew my name, she claimed she wasn’t trying to sell me anything so i replied, “fine, give me your number and i’ll ring you back.” she said, “nah, we’re only allowed to call out, not take calls.” i told her, “well, you have my number so i think it’s only right i get yours. if you won’t give it, i can’t trust you. bye then.” then i just hung up.
