A call came through from a number that said they were some kind of insurance firm for my TV and other gadgets. When I asked them to identify themselves properly, they just ended the call straight away. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I’ve had a few calls from different numbers recently, but like this one, no one ever picks up when I try to call back. The other ones were 02890449947 and 02036308080. It’s a bit frustrating to say the least.

A bloke rang me saying he was from some sort of fault fix company, going on about my TV and electrical gear at home. When I asked for his contact number, he just rattled off some random digits, way too long to be proper. Asked him once more and he couldn’t recall what he’d just told me, so he gave me another number instead. I called him out on it and he just cut me off. Definitely felt like a scam to me. I’ve since reported it to the ICO.

At about 12:26, I got a call from this number. There was just silence for a bit, then they hung up. Looks like it’s another new cold calling line. Not long after, 0203 630 2951 rang me too, and the exact same thing took place. I’m convinced both are linked, probably from the same cold call company.
