I got a call from some bloke claiming my contract was about to finish and said he was from O2. I told him that wasn’t true, but he seemed a bit confused and kept asking for my info. I just told him to send me an email through O2 instead, and then he hung up.

So I got a call from o2 about renewing my contract, and they mentioned some better deals for self-employed people. I told them I’m not self-employed, then they asked about my job. Later on, I got a call back from someone who actually uses o2, just to confirm it was me who purchased an iPhone 12. That seemed to be the only info they wanted.

Today I received a rather alarming text from this number, and it certainly raised my suspicions! The sender was masquerading as O2, claiming that my credit card had failed to process, and insisted that I must update my payment information to settle my bill. The funny thing is, I've never had any business with O2 whatsoever! I can't shake the feeling that this is nothing but a scam!
