UK Preference are now ringing from 01924 601 034, a Wakefield area code. They actually dare to say if you want to opt out press 5, which ends up just calling them back. We've already put our number on the TPS list to block stuff like this. When will the government actually do something to put an end to these annoying calls?

They keep saying they're UK Preference or something but these muppets are seriously testing my patience. I've tried being nice but that's completely gone out the window now. Up to 10 calls daily and I’ve just about lost it. They've had to endure the full force of my not-so-polite language. Then, after being told repeatedly to remove me from their list, one had the nerve to tell me to chill out, be sensible and just answer his questions, and he'd stop bothering me. Didn’t last long though - mid-rant he just hung up.

Today alone I’ve received 7 calls from them. One time I got passed to a supervisor because the lady couldn't make sense of what I was saying - ironic, considering her voice was hard to follow. Saving Preference keep ringin me loads of times a day, but with different people each time. When I ask them to stop calling, they just ignore it. I tried ringing 1471 and found two numbers linked to them: 02384441121 and 01418118888. Asked to be removed from their list, but one bloke said it wasn’t his problem. When I asked who to contact, he just said it's a free country and he can ask me questions. I told him to buzz off and hung up. Honestly, there needs to be a way to stop these lot from pestering people on the phone like this.

19/8/2015 We've had about 13 calls over the last couple of days even after asking them to stop. They just ignored it. At one point, my husband actually blew a referee's whistle down the phone! Eventually he decided to play along and answered their questions with the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard. Since then, no more calls, but I reckon it’s only a matter of time before they ring back. He’s thinking of contacting companies like BT, Virgin and the others mentioned in their survey to let them know we won’t be using their services because they’re connected to Saving Preference.

Savings Preference must have rung us at least 500 times in the past year, sometimes up to five times a day. I've told them to stop probably over 50 times now. The callers are always Indian, Pakistani, or Bengali. They never give their real name and say they just need a minute for a few questions. Then they seem to pass on your details, so you end up getting calls from loads of other firms too. I've asked them to cease a ton of times but it makes no difference.

Got a call today from someone named 'David' on the 14th of July at about 8.30pm, saying he was from 'Saving Preference'. The number they used was 0203 457 3122. I keep getting calls from a company claiming to run "Lifestyle Avenue" saying they collect data. These calls come from overseas and they phone me up to 8 times a day! We get calls from this number multiple times every single day. When you answer, it puts you straight through to a person, but if you don’t say anything the call just drops, so it’s clearly some automated call routing system. The person on the other end doesn’t seem to speak perfect English and sounds like they’re under a lot of stress trying to push their agenda, which makes me feel a bit sorry for them. However, the constant interruptions are really frustrating. Sometimes when I tell them I’m not interested in their “survey,” they end up swearing and getting quite rude on the line. Recently, they've started blasting a really sharp, high-pitched noise down the phone to me. Surely something should be done to stop these UK calls being passed through like this.

The firm is called Saving Preference, and the managing director goes by Mark Owen. Just ring them back with the dates and times they phoned you and ask to be taken off their list. I tried this and now I’m waiting to see if they ring again, if they do I’ll consider taking it further. Best of luck everyone.

Honestly, the £40 I spent on it was totally worth it. The calls still come through, but the phone picks up for me, and after they've rung once, you can block the number for good. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Honestly, this is so annoying! I just don’t get how phone providers can’t put a stop to these calls. They should have some way to block them for good. We get ringed at least a couple of times every day with nobody speaking or it’s just gibberish. Can’t make out what company they’re from either, but they definitely sound like they’ve got an Indian accent.

We got one of those little call blockers for our line to stop these annoying calls, and honestly, it’s been well worth it. I can see on my phone who’s been ringing, and yep, that number shows up often, but the phone never actually rings anymore. Maybe next time they do get through, try giving them a blast with a loud whistle, like one from a football match - could well annoy them enough to stop calling!

I got a call today from a number starting with 044, it was some Home and Lifestyle sales pitch. We told them we weren't interested and just ended the call. They’re just after info to hack your PC, I reckon. They’ve been buzzing me non-stop for like six months.
