He spent a good 35 minutes trying to explain something he termed ‘debt letigation’-a rather curious mispronunciation of litigation, which he insisted on breaking down for me. The gentleman claimed to be calling from an address on 24 Church Street in Manchester, with a postcode of MM12 2LE, but I was quite convinced he was actually speaking from a call centre in India, as I could hear a chorus of voices chattering away in the background. Just as he was about to hand me over to his 'supervisor' to further this dubious affair, I chose to terminate the call. Not long after that, I received another call, this time allegedly from McDermott Smith Law Ltd based in Bootle, Liverpool. They were keen to discuss my supposed debt. I informed the caller that I had suspicions about their legitimacy and promptly ended that conversation as well.
