I’d say just don’t pick up. These lot aren’t real. In the past fortnight, I’ve had near 50 calls from them. If you ask them to take your number off their list, they just hang up without listening. And if you try the automated option, it just ends the call straight away. Avoid it, honestly.

Was on the phone with someone claiming there was a government program to help with debt. Told them I’d only just cleared mine and tried to explain, but they just kept going on and on like I had to pay attention. Proper nonsense, honestly.

Answered the phone and could hear some giggling in the background and from the bloke on the line. He called me by my name and wanted to talk but when I kept saying “could you tell me who this is please?” a few times, he wouldn’t say who he was. Instead, he kept asking if I’m the person they wanted. Proper strange, so I just told him he’s got the wrong person and ended the call.

This is a landline from Cabot Debt, definitely not a business phone.

I got a call from a landline saying it was Cabot - I'm pretty sure it's a total scam. I've put the number on my block list and I’d suggest everyone else just ignore it too. I believe Cabot deals with debts or something like that.
