A woman rang me on my mobile saying it was about some "accident" claim. I asked a few questions and then she passed me onto a bloke with an Indian accent. He said he’d got my info from the "Department for Accident Statistics" or something like that. I told him that no such department exists and he just ended the call straight away.

Looks like this might be a fresh scam line since I'm the second person commenting and the dates match up. I picked up, all I got was silence, then they just hung up. Pretty obviously some dodgy auto dialler thing - they ring loads of numbers at the same time, expecting only a few to pick up so their sales crew can handle those calls.
