Got two calls earlier today from someone saying they were from bank security. When I questioned them, they started swearing, so I gave it right back to them. Honestly, I’m fed up with these scammers. Isn’t there any way to put an end to this?

Got a call from someone named JAMIE claiming to be from RBS, saying there were two suspicious transactions on my debit card that they’d stopped. I asked for the fraud team’s contact number, and strangely, he gave me the same number he was calling from. After I hung up, I dialled 1471 on my landline to check the caller ID, and it showed the call was coming from that very number. Turns out, it’s actually a recruitment agency, which was shut on the weekend - I got the call on a Saturday, so I reported everything straight to RBS’s real fraud department.
