I've been getting calls from dodgy characters inquiring whether I've been in a car accident. They’re just a bunch of ambulance chasers, if you ask me!

Received a call purporting to be from HM Revenue and Customs. They were quite menacing, insisting that I should get in touch immediately by pressing '1', or face potential legal repercussions.

I got a call from 02035671135 but couldn’t make out much of what the person was saying. They mentioned something about o2 and offered a 20% off, but the connection was really poor so wasn't sure what exactly.

Seems this number's being used again for some HMRC scam call.

Got a call from 02045751135 this evening around 8.30pm on a Saturday, which immediately made me suspicious - probably some kinda scam. The strange bit is I actually got a voicemail from what sounded like the same HMRC scam back in 2017 or 2018. They said there was a warrant for my arrest and threats about my property being watched. Weirdly, no voicemail left this time so dunno what the deal is or where they popped up from. Haven’t seen any recent comments about this number so thought I’d drop an update as it’s now 2022!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying there was a warrant for my arrest and asking if I had a criminal lawyer because I'd need one for court. They also claimed they had proof I was involved in tax fraud. I totally freaked out and ended up yelling at the lady on the phone so much that she just cut me off. Definitely a scam and pretty stressful!

Got a call at 4 in the morning. Thankfully, my phone wasn’t by my bed so I didn’t wake fully up. Not something that happens often but it spared me a proper sleepless night.

I was tied up and couldn’t pick up, but I keep getting dodgy emails so what people say here makes sense. Why does no one do more about these scam calls and emails? It's so annoying!

I got a phone call from this number and rang them back. The person said they were from HMRC and told me there was a case against me for unpaid taxes. They asked if I had a lawyer to handle the matter. I told them they must be mistaken and ended the call pretty quickly.

I had a phone call earlier today from this number. The person said they were from HMRC and insisted I had to ring them back straight away. They didn’t explain what it was about, just warned me that legal trouble would follow if I didn’t. Something like “prepare for legal action” or similar. I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, total scam. They tried to scare me about unpaid taxes but it was all just a load of nonsense. Don’t fall for it!

I was stuck in a meeting so couldn't pick up. These days I keep getting dodgy emails pretending to be from HMRC, so it all wouldn't surprise me if this was another scam. They're such a pain! Why on earth don't the authorities crack down harder on these scam calls and emails?!

Got a call from a landline that just kept ringing without anyone picking up. Looks like this is heading to court. Better get there bright and early - sounds like it’s gonna be packed!

Like lots of others have said here, this number is total rubbish. Definitely block it! I really feel sorry for anyone who’s been scared by that automated voice - it’s horrible. Whoever’s behind this should seriously be put behind bars.

Got the same voicemail everyone’s talking about. I’m just gonna leave it be and not bother.

This number rang me up earlier, and just like with every other time, I wasn’t fooled by their usual spiel. They always tell the exact same story, nothing new at all.

Fake scam call, no doubt. HMRC definitely isn’t using any American-sounding robots to ring you. Usually, it's folks from up around Cumbernauld in Scotland, and while they might sound a bit mechanical sometimes, they’re really not robots at all.

This number rang me earlier today but I chose not to pick up and there was no voicemail left. When I looked it up, lots of people had similar stories posted just today, which made me quite wary. Because of that, I decided to send a report to HMRC through their phishing contact email ([email protected]), including the time the call came in and the number itself. I'd recommend anyone else who gets a call from this number does the same.

Today I got a voicemail on my phone saying it was from HMRC, so I called the number back. They said I was supposed to be in court today because of some issue. When I asked for proof that they were really from HMRC, they just told me to leave it and that I should check they were legit myself. When I pressed them more, the bloke told me to stop wasting his time and hung up on me. No doubt about it, total scam!

I got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, gave me some weird reference numbers and then started having a laugh at me over the phone. They even told me I had to meet them and threatened me with legal trouble if I didn’t ring back. Proper scam stuff.

Another rubbish call from some spammer. Thought registering with TPS would stop this nonsense, but seems like it does nothing. Guess I’ll have to begin putting some money aside for court fees. How do they even get hold of my number? Just random using some auto dialer or what? Stan (Mobile number)

I received a phone call supposedly from an officer named Sarah Wilson at HMRC, insisting that I owed them money and needed to act right away by ringing them back. The American accent and the pauses throughout the call made me suspect it was more likely a pre-recorded message, and honestly, it didn't feel like something that would come from HMRC, as that's a British agency.
