I received a rather alarming voicemail directing me to press 1 to get in touch with my tax officer regarding a suspected tax fraud situation. To be honest, I have my doubts about the authenticity of this message. I find it hard to believe that the real HMRC would resort to such a menacing recorded note. It feels more like an attempt at scamming me than anything legitimate.
