On the 15th of May I got a call from someone pretending to be from the NI about an arrest scam. The number was 02034554575. I messaged the details here after having a laugh with them for about ten mins. They told me I supposedly owed a fine over £6,000! Then today, they tried ringing me three separate times. Looks like this scammer is really desperate to catch someone!

Just like others have mentioned, I got a call about my insurance being suspended with a prompt saying "Press 1 to talk to your case officer". Of course, I didn’t press anything. This is definitely a scam. Me and my husband, both in our mid 70s, saw straight through it but I can’t help thinking loads of older folks might get really upset and scared by it. With all the tech we have nowadays, you’d think there would be a way to crack down on these scammers for good!

I've received calls from this number three times today! Each time, it's the same automated message claiming that 'law enforcement' has launched a lawsuit against me, and apparently my national insurance number is now on ice. Honestly, they must be watching too many American dramas because no one in the UK speaks like this. Then, they urge me to hit '1' to chat with my so-called 'case manager'. It’s all quite amusing, really!

Some bloke with a serious tone told me I’d get nicked and taken to court. They said my National Insurance was on hold and to ring this 'enforcement officer' at the number they gave.
