I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who claimed he worked for Three, my mobile network. He then asked for some info and tried to sell me an upgrade deal that sounded way too good! I rang up Three afterwards, and they told me they hadn’t made any calls like that. This is definitely a scam, so I’d say be careful and don’t get caught out by these fraudsters!

This number called me and left a voicemail claiming I owed £365 for Amazon Prime. I called their customer service to report the scam, especially since I have no Amazon account at all. The lady I spoke with was really kind and understanding. Be careful and don’t get caught up in this trick!

On 25th August 2020, I got a call from someone claiming my PC was showing some kind of security problem. They told me to just switch off my computer right away. Honestly, if my computer could talk, I’d seriously have a word with it about bothering random people! No doubt this was a total scam.

These scammers from Eastern Europe tried the usual spiel about my computer being hacked and offering to fix it, went on for about 15 minutes. I played along and kept asking technical questions about their ‘protection’ methods. Eventually, the guy asked if I actually knew anything about computers. When I said I run an IT business (the one he’d just called), he got pretty angry, cursed at me, and ended the call. Honestly, it was well worth wasting their time instead of letting them fool and frighten others.

Watch out, these guys are total con artists! They try to frighten you by telling you your computer's got a virus, then they demand payment to fix it. Trust me, there’s no virus at all and your computer’s just fine. Honestly, it's just modern-day thievery.

Don’t trust these lot, they’re total scammers. They ring you up claiming your computer’s got some nasty virus and then try to charge you to fix it. Honestly, there’s no virus at all - your computer’s fine. It’s just a sneaky way to rob people in this day and age. Avoid them at all costs.

On Wednesday, a man named Peter called me using the number 02034098557, claiming to be from Microsoft and saying there was an issue with my PC. He even knew my full name, which was worrying. I said I wasn't in at the time so I could look up the first number. After that, I blocked it. Then today, I got another call from a different number, and it was the same Peter again. I told him outright he was a scammer, and he immediately ended the call. I've blocked this new number too now.

Some guy rang me up with a strong Indian accent claiming he was from Microsoft Windows. He went on about some issues with my Windows over the past few days. Thing is, I don't even use Windows, so it was obvious he was trying to scam me. I told him he was daft to imagine I'd fall for it and that I knew straight away he was a scammer. Not long after, he just ended the call.

But as soon as I said I hadn’t seen those messages, he hung up on me. Guess it was something in my voice. Next time I’m gonna give it even more effort. My top time so far is 9 minutes and 21 seconds.
