I noticed a mysterious call on my phone statement that lasted a mere 0.2 seconds, costing me 27 pence! What’s more, there were four similar phantom calls to 123 over the last four days. Clearly, I didn't make these calls. After doing a bit of online digging, I found that the number seemed linked to some sort of pension calculator. When I tried calling the number back, I was met with an automated message directing me to ring 0844 666 1708 to connect to the 0203 391 1111. BT is now looking into what could possibly be a fault.
