Got a call from this number but I ignored it. Seeing all the comments here, I’m really glad I didn’t pick up. These scam calls are getting on my nerves so much! Watch out, folks.

Got a call from a guy speaking in what sounded like an Asian language, couldn't make out a single thing he said.

Received a bunch of dodgy messages from these chaps last year. Total scam! The actual HMRC would never contact anyone like this. Thank goodness for my answerphone - just delete their ridiculous messages and steer clear of pressing 1. They've kicked off again with five new messages since the 5th of August. Just ignore them!

Without a shadow of a doubt, this lot are nothing short of crooks. I use the term loosely, as they seem more like leeches!

Been getting loads of calls every day for about a week now, really stressing me out. Left with voicemails saying there’s some court case against me and to hit 1 to talk to someone in charge. The message sounds dodgy and the audio’s rubbish too. Feels like one of those scam calls you can report, but who do you even report to? The police? Some kind of phone blocking service? HMRC? Or maybe BT? Anyone got any ideas?

For the last week, I've been getting loads of calls every day which really stressed me out. Left on my voicemail was this message about a court case against me, telling me to press 1 to talk to someone about it. Honestly, the message sounded pretty dodgy and the audio was bad quality too. I reckon these calls must be reported but I’m not sure where - should I contact the Telephone Preference Service, the police, HMRC, or maybe BT? Any ideas?

I really can’t fathom what their game is with these incessant calls claiming there’s a legal action against me from HMRC. Do they actually expect to extort some cash to make me disappear off their radar? I’ve never returned their calls, yet I’m absolutely fed up with the relentless messages piling up on my answering machine.

Just a heads-up, received a rather dodgy call claiming to be from HMRC. When I questioned them, they seemed to hesitate and really weren't sure of themselves. It felt as though they were trying to ascertain if I was the proprietor of the business. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I've had calls from 02033896753 all day, they leave bits of a message saying to press 1 to talk to your case officer. They've also called from different numbers, sometimes even from abroad. Luckily I have caller ID, so I blocked the other number. Thank goodness for that!

I got a call from this number (02033896753) saying HMRC had a case against me and to press 1 to talk to someone about it. When I pressed, a bloke with a Middle Eastern accent answered and asked how he could help. I said “you called me” and then he just cut the call. Definitely some scam trying to trick folks out of their cash, so watch out!

I got a call with an automated voice telling me that TalkTalk was about to cut off my internet and broadband service. It then said to press 1 to talk to the tech support or 2 if I wanted to start the termination. Very suspicious if you ask me.

Yesterday, this number kept calling me about five times and honestly, it made me feel annoyed and worried. Each time it was an automated message saying HMRC was about to start legal action against me, and if I wanted to speak to someone, I should press 1. I was so suspicious that I went online and submitted a complaint using a fixed form from the Information Commissioner’s Office. Then, to my frustration, the same number rang me AGAIN today. Does anyone know how you can actually block these calls for good? It’s driving me mad!

I've received around five or six phone calls from this number today (5th August 2019), but I wasn't quick enough to answer them. When I did pick up, I encountered a recorded message. The initial calls seemed to come from someone with a mid-Atlantic accent; it was a woman's voice. She stated something along the lines of "HMRC is initiating legal proceedings against you. Kindly press 1 to connect with your caseworker immediately.” The last call I received, which I assume was from someone working the evening shift, featured a different female voice, but the message was eerily similar.
