I've been inundated with calls from this particular number for weeks on end now. Rather annoyingly, they never leave a voicemail; instead, they seem determined to persistently ring until someone finally picks up. They professed to be representatives from Domestic & General Insurance, probing about my household appliances and trying to sell me an insurance policy. I decided to end the conversation abruptly and reached out directly to Domestic & General using the contact detail found on their official site (after verifying its authenticity, of course). I spoke to a chap named John, who assured me that the number 02033322995 is not affiliated with their company in any way. I provided him with all the pertinent information, which he forwarded to their Legal Team, who, in turn, have alerted the authorities.

The number looked unfamiliar so I just let it ring through to voicemail. There wasn't any message after that.

I've got TPS registered, yet this number phoned my missus saying our insurance had dropped in cost. She sounded all confused, like she had no clue what she was talking about - clearly hadn’t bothered with the script. She told her she’d ring back when I was around. Total scam, avoid!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Domestic & General, checking if my washing machine repair was alright. Turns out they were imposters, not the company at all. They quickly tried to get my bank details, so watch out for this trick.

They say they’re from D&G and even know loads about your situation, but as soon as you mention you’re fine with your current plans, they start asking for your bank info. I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of scam.

Got a call around 12:55 from a bloke claiming to be from Domestic Appliance Insurance. He asked if I wanted to renew my policy, but I explained I didn’t have any cover with them. He insisted I did and gave info that matched someone who lived in my flat about 10 years ago. When I said that couldn’t be right, he wouldn’t listen, so I just ended the call. Feels like it might be a dodgy scam to me.

I gave them a ring as my appliance cover was coming up for renewal. They informed me that I had three appliances insured at a rate of £10 each annually. Then, out of nowhere, they claimed I needed to cough up £120! I’ve never taken out appliance cover in my life. The chap abruptly ended the call when I challenged his statements!

Received a call on my home phone from a chap in a call centre. He spoke English, but with a noticeable foreign accent, and was prattling on about my "Guarantee" and "Warranty". I had to press him several times to find out which company he was representing. After some hesitation, he stated he was from "Domestic & General". It was quite apparent from his manner and the script he was reading that this was nothing but a scam attempting to fleece me for a supposed renewal of an appliance warranty insurance policy. I called him out on his dubious tactics and hung up. Subsequently, I blocked the number and reported the incident through BT's scam reporting site.

I noticed a call had come through while we were pottering about in the garden, and naturally, we didn’t catch it in time. They didn’t bother to leave a message, but the caller ID suggested it was from the doctor’s office. It's quite concerning, to be honest.

I received a rather relentless call from someone who insisted that I had a policy with his firm for appliance insurance that was on the verge of renewal. He was rather pushy about needing to activate it over the phone. He claimed to represent a company called ‘Domestic Appliance Cover’, but oddly, he only mentioned three of the eight appliances that are actually insured. He had my name and address, which raised a few red flags, as I’m already well-covered with another provider. I decided to hang up, but to my surprise, he called back. I didn’t bother answering the second time. Definitely a dodgy situation!

Received a call regarding the expiration of our washing machine insurance - but we don’t even have that kind of cover! They ended the conversation abruptly when I mentioned we weren’t interested in renewing. Quite odd, really!

I’m relieved I didn’t pick up when this number rang, especially after seeing what others have said. If they're not inclined to leave a voicemail, it’s almost a certainty that it's a dodgy call.

Had a dodgy call from this number regarding insurance for household appliances. I really do hope the authorities can put an end to these tiresome pests!

Received a rather dodgy call today regarding the impending expiration of my insurance policy. The caller was keen to offer me an extension for either one year or three years, with the enticing offer of an additional year free if I opted for the longer term. Naturally, they wanted me to verify my bank details to proceed. I told them I couldn’t chat at the moment and asked them to ring back later. Subsequently, I contacted my actual insurance provider only to learn from their representative that it was all a ruse. Not long after that, the same number called me again. When I pressed them for my policy number, they absurdly claimed it was encrypted and out of their reach. To top it all, I discovered that the number they called from didn’t connect when I tried to ring it myself. Quite the dodgy situation, I must say!
