I wasnt home when the phone rang, and they didnt leave any voicemail. From what others have said here, I reckon it was probably that dodgy p#### company people keep mentioning.

Got a call from 02033322954 about some deal on home appliances, but then they started asking for my bank info over the phone. I told them to send the offer in writing first, but they quickly flipped and threatened to cancel the deal if I didn’t give in. Definitely a scam, stay away from them!

This number rang me up earlier about renewing my appliance insurance, but I quickly caught on - it’s definitely a scam. I found it’s best to just tell them your appliances are brand new and then drop the call. Saves a lot of hassle!

I picked up but it was dead quiet, no one said anything and no voicemail was left either.

Got a call from someone looking for a person who doesn’t even live here. Felt like a total rip-off to me.

I got a call telling me that my washing machine, cooker and fridge cover was up for renewal and they said I’d paid £219 last year. Thing is, I’ve never actually had any cover with them. If someone wasn’t paying attention, they might’ve gone ahead and renewed something that’s not real.

Got a call from some company I don't even know, saying it was about my "regular renewal" for my home appliances. They said it was just an annual routine thing. But there were loads of things that seemed off. For one, the name they gave wasn't mine at all. Then, the address they mentioned wasn’t where I live. Lastly, I’ve been living here over a decade and never signed up or renewed anything with them. Felt pretty dodgy to me.

They keep ringing me from loads of different numbers, all looks like a scam to me.

Loads of calls have come through from this number and a few others, all asking for someone called "Basin Swain." Some had British accents, others did not. One person, when I said nobody by that name lived here, basically replied "That'll do," so I just ended the call and blocked the number afterwards.

Got a few calls from different 020 numbers over the past few days, but I normally don’t answer. This time I picked up and stayed quiet, but no one said anything before they hung up after a few seconds. Seems like one of those automatic calls trying to check if someone’s there, probably a sales pitch or a scam. Either way, it’s annoying and pretty shady. From now on, I’ll just block and ignore that number for good.

Answered this number but there was complete silence on the other end. Looks like just another annoying call to me, especially since I’ve been getting loads of 020 numbers ringing all week.

Looks like loads of firms are pushing for kitchen appliance service renewals this month; I've had nearly a dozen calls myself. I let the lady go on with her whole spiel, then once she finished, I told her she should contact the landlord instead - she just hung up straight away!

Had a call from a guy with a male voice about some sort of home appliance repair. He wanted to chat with a person who actually doesn’t live at my place. When I asked for details, he gave me the wrong address. Seemed polite enough but definitely felt off and fishy. Watch out for this one!

Had a call from someone claiming to be about insurance for my home appliances - honestly, it’s just a load of rubbish. If you hear 'Domestic Appliance Insurance Follow Up Call', you better believe it’s nothing but a total SCAM!

The caller's voice sounded like it was masked or changed, and they just wanted to chat with an older person.

I received a call from a lady named Jenna, representing Domestic Appliances. She was inquiring about the insurance for my appliances, which has apparently lapsed. I let her know that I didn’t have any coverage and wasn’t particularly keen on discussing it further. Before she could elaborate, I ended the call.

Received a call claiming to be from an appliance insurance company. When I inquired which firm she represented, she was unable to provide a clear answer. Truly despicable behaviour.

It simply rings, and as soon as I answer, the line goes dead if I don’t utter a word. Odd, isn’t it?

Received a call regarding an individual who has never set foot in this location. The caller then requested to talk to the resident. As it was unsolicited, I promptly disconnected. I make it a point not to entertain businesses that ring me, especially considering I've been registered with the Telephone Preference Service for a decade now. Even if there was the slightest possibility they weren't dodgy, any organisation that disregards the TPS clearly shows a total lack of respect for consumers, and I refuse to waste my precious time on them.

I received a notice regarding my appliance insurance, stating that the premium had been lowered to £70 annually. They instructed me to jot down a contact number for their premium customer line to finalize the payment. When I voiced my suspicions and implied that it seemed dodgy, she insisted that this offer was authorised by Hotpoint. Quite the tale, isn’t it?

Blimey, she was after a name that, to the best of my knowledge, has never set foot in this place! I've been residing here for over two decades now. Over the years, I've been pestered by numerous calls for that same individual. After a particularly long silence, I finally snapped. When she enquired about that person yet again, I couldn’t help but blurt out, “Clear off!” and promptly ended the call.

I had a rather unexpected phone call from a woman who asked for my wife by name. She inquired whether we were experiencing any issues with mobility or if we needed any kind of support in the home, like getting up and down the stairs. I assured her that we were managing just fine and didn't need any help. She mentioned she would give us a ring again sometime in August.
