Sounds like these con artists are really grasping at straws now. I got a call from someone claiming to be part of UK CALL GUARD, offering to block nuisance calls on my phone. The connection was awful, and the woman with an Indian accent was clearly at home, with kids making a racket in the background. They just stick to their script but totally lose it if you throw in questions like, "Can you show me that gadget on your website?" Then they just cut off the call. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if they tried ringing back again tomorrow!

Some bloke rang up saying he was from "UK call guard" or something like that. He talked really quick, and I could barely keep up. He kept pushing this call blocking service, claiming it would stop scam calls from reaching me. I wasn’t convinced and asked if it was legit, but he just kept trying to pressure me into signing up. In the end, cause he was so pushy, I told him there’s no way I’d ever agree to anything offered by a cold caller.

I asked how they could possibly give me a discount on a policy I’m not even signed up to and never heard about. Then they just went off on me, swearing like mad. Definitely a scam.
