Got loads of calls off someone named Sarah Jones. She kept saying my computer was hacked and threatened that I'd lose access to Windows if I didn’t let them fix it. Proper annoying!

Never trust calls claiming to be from Microsoft - they don’t reach out like that. The person on the phone mentioned my name and where I live, which freaked me out since I never shared any of that with Microsoft. Turns out, I’m with TalkTalk and their system was hacked. I knew straight away it was a con, but I played along for about 22 minutes just to see what they’d do. They kept trying to access my computer, but luckily I use Linux, not Windows, so nothing got through. Near the end, they switched tactics and might have managed to connect if I hadn’t ended the call then and there.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft support, telling me my computer was hacked and they needed to get onto my PC to fix it. At first, I was talking to a woman named Sophia, then some guy called Mark came on and started making threats. I hung up straight away and rang Microsoft myself, who confirmed it was a scam. So yeah, be careful everyone and just don’t answer or hang up if you do.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Windows support. I stupidly gave them access to my PC. They insisted I pay £199 as a "lifetime registration" to protect my computer from being hacked, plus an extra £20 charge. They threatened to shut down my system so it wouldn’t work if I refused to pay. Obviously, I didn’t pay. Now my computer won’t work at all. Hang up immediately and don’t let these scammers con you out of your money.
