We've had a similar experience with two blokes ringing us a few times, trying to persuade us into installing a software security measure on our computer and demanding that we fork out some cash for it. We decided against it and noted down their number... Quite dodgy if you ask me!

We received a call from an individual purporting to be Michael Anton White, representing 24/7 Tech Support at 1 Putney Bridge Approach. This person insisted that we input a series of numbers into our computer, claiming they would reveal all the junk files cluttering our system. To be honest, we were completely bewildered; we couldn't type or perform any actions on our device and had no idea who this person was or how they managed to obtain our number. Every time we pressed them for clarification, they skillfully dodged our questions. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number, and it was claimed that there are issues with my home computer that the caller supposedly had access to. She suggested that this could be hindering my computer's performance. When I asked for her contact number, she provided it but not without some hesitation. Her name was Jack, and she mentioned she was representing Windows Service. As far as I'm concerned, it sounds like a scam.

Happened to receive a call from someone with a rather pronounced foreign accent, stating they were called Jack Dawson! Seems we've possibly made a colossal blunder by allowing them to tinker with our computer... oh dear!

We received a phone call from a person claiming to be Michael Antony White from 24/7 Tech Support located at 1 Putney Bridge Approach. This individual instructed us to input a series of numbers into our computer, claiming it would reveal some junk files that had supposedly been downloaded onto our system. We didn't take any action or enter anything she suggested, as we were entirely unsure about her identity and how she managed to obtain our phone number. Every time we asked for clarification, she cleverly sidestepped our inquiries.

A caller with a rather noticeable foreign twang introduced themselves as Jack Dawson! I have to admit, we might have made a rather colossal blunder by granting them access to our computer system. What a faux pas!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft tech support, available around the clock. I'm curious, what’s the process to install antivirus software on my machine?

A rather suspicious chap with an accent rang us yesterday and again just now. He seemed to know our name, claiming to represent a company associated with an operating system. Apparently, our computer has been flagged for some viruses or another. Naturally, we told him that we hadn’t received any notifications about such issues. He insisted we power up our device, but we let him know we were preoccupied. Things got a bit tense, with him pressing us harder, but we stood our ground and said we'd reach out when it suited us. He was quite keen to make sure we captured his number. Rest assured, we’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

I received a call from this number, and the person on the other end, who spoke with a noticeable foreign twang, introduced themselves as 'Scott.' They claimed to be reaching out regarding an issue with my computer, specifically mentioning a virus, and said they needed to talk to me about it with 'Your web provider.' What really gave me the creeps was that they even mentioned my 12-year-old son's name. Quite unsettling, I must say.

This evening, we received a call from a foreign call centre. A woman claiming to be a senior supervisor named Michelle said she was from Microsoft Customer Support. She informed us that our account had been compromised and that we were at risk of losing our Microsoft protection unless we followed a certain procedure. We were quite sceptical and decided to hang up. She mentioned she would call back, but we’re not falling for it. BT knows about this scam but can’t assist further. Best to avoid returning the call or sharing any personal details.

We've had a remarkably similar encounter! Two blokes called us several times asking to install an extra layer of security on our computer, insisting we needed to pay for this service. We've opted out, as the number seems rather dodgy to us.

I had a similar experience; the individual went by the name Nick Dawson. I’m curious if these folks are capable of infecting your computer with a virus, or if it's merely a scam targeting credit card information?

I had the same ring, and I'm ready to confront them over the phone and expose their lies! They tried to swindle us with a claim that would have set us back £185, but thankfully, we did some digging and cracked the case wide open. I totally understand what you all are going through. Oh, and just so you know, I'm only 13!
