Got a call telling me I'd receive £1000 for my diesel emissions. They started asking even more personal stuff and thankfully I caught on fast that it was dodgy. Total scam!

Another one of those frauds pretending to be from the tax office or police. It's ridiculous how these clowns keep operating, surely there must be some way to catch these muppet scammers.

Got a call from 02032909240 saying it was hmre and they had a warrant for my arrest. I’m not daft, but I can see how an elderly person could easily freak out over that. These calls are proper dangerous and need to be shut down, but why is nobody doing anything about it?

This morning just after 11am my 96 year old mum’s phone started ringing. I was lucky to be around as she picked up, and the caller claimed something about a police report linked to HMRC. I knew right away it was one of those scams, but it really worries me thinking what if some elderly or vulnerable person answered and believed it. I’m definitely going to report this to the HMRC anti-phishing team.

I received a call claiming to be from the police, threatening that there was an official complaint filed against me, which could lead to arrest, a fine, or even a prison sentence. They instructed me to return the call to a specific number. I chose to disregard it and hung up.

On 28/2/19, I got a call just like the others mentioned. The person said there was a complaint against me and that I had a warrant out for my arrest, telling me to ring 02032909240 straight away. Obviously, I knew it was a scam - I’ve paid all my taxes, plus why would they have a prerecorded message when they wouldn’t know who’d pick up? I ended the call, but it was pretty disturbing. I imagine an elderly person might get scared and actually phone that number. Why isn't anything being done to stop this happening??

I got a voicemail saying they were gonna get a warrant to have me arrested, which is just crazy. Someone really needs to put a stop to this, it’s so worrying. Honestly, if they wanna take me in, they already know where I live. It’s just disgusting that people can say stuff like that.

Got a voicemail saying there’s a police complaint from hmrc or something, instantly hung up because it felt like a scam. I’ve already sorted my taxes, so no way I’m falling for that.
