Got a call from someone called Eleanor Francis claiming to be from BT, with the ID BT8005. They rang my mum, who's quite elderly, and said her internet would be cut off for half a year unless she logged in immediately so they could do security scans because apparently her system was hacked. Luckily, she doesn’t make decisions without checking with me first. She asked for their contact number to ring them back but didn’t go through with anything. Sounds like a classic BT scam to me.

A lady claimed to be from BT, insisting that my computer was compromised in the small hours, specifically between 2.30 a.m. and 4.30 a.m. She then proceeded to ask me to log in and follow her instructions, which set off alarm bells for me.

What a dodgy call! They claimed to be from BT, warning me about some hacking issues with my internet, but it felt more like a ruse to fish for my banking info and other personal details. I've already flagged this to BT. Stay vigilant, everyone!

Beware, my friends! I’ve just had a rather dodgy encounter on the phone that screams scam all over it. Some chaps claiming to hail from the technical department of BT rang me up, insisting that my computer had been compromised and that the police were in the loop. They went on about how, if I didn’t comply with their so-called instructions right away, they would cut off my broadband for half a year! Talk about intimidation-if I dared to hang up, they threatened an instant disconnection. It was all rather appalling and aggressive, to say the least. Thankfully, I didn’t take the bait and quickly contacted BT to report their shenanigans. Stay vigilant, folks!
