Yesterday, I had a rather dubious phone call claiming I was due some PPI compensation, despite not having made any such claim myself. They requested £200 in Amazon vouchers as a sort of exchange for a cheque, and mentioned someone would ring me today with the necessary documents and the cheque. After a good chat with my son and daughter-in-law, I decided to ring them up today to cancel the whole thing. Now I’m just sat here, wondering if they’ll still bother to turn up!

I received a rather suspicious call from this number, claiming I had some long-lost PPI refund waiting for me. They mentioned that a representative would be in touch and insisted I needed to provide a £200 Amazon voucher in exchange for a cheque. Seemed a bit dodgy, if you ask me!

Hello there! I received a rather dodgy call from the number in question, claiming I had come into a windfall via a PPI reimbursement. They said they'd send a representative over today with some paperwork and a cheque, but here's the catch: I would need to provide £200 worth of Amazon vouchers as proof of their payment once the cheque is cleared. I was informed that I wouldn't need to hand over anything apart from my ID and those vouchers. Honestly, this sounds far too fishy to be legitimate. No reputable company demands payment in vouchers, and the sum they’re talking about is well beyond the norm-usually it's around 30-40% of what you’re owed! So be cautious with this number! Interestingly, I’ve just had another call saying they're definitely sending someone round today. I’m intrigued to see how this unfolds, but it’s just exhausting dealing with these constant scams!

I received a call from this number informing me that I’ve successfully settled a PPI claim. I can’t shake off my feelings of doubt about it, though.
