This guy was saying the funds come first, then you sign - sounded fishy to me. When I asked for some kind of proof, he just ended the call. I looked up the site and it turned out to be a fake copy.

0203 2395070 rang me with a pre-recorded message saying there was a warrant out for my arrest due to unpaid tax. They claimed to be from HMRC and asked me to call them back on that same number. It's definitely a scam, and I've reported it to Action Fraud. The key thing is never to give them your mobile number. When I rang back from my landline, they tried to get me to confirm my mobile number, but I was suspicious and refused, so they just hung up.

I received a rather alarming phone call from someone purporting to be Sarah Wilson from HMRC. A voicemail was left, insinuating that there was an investigation concerning my taxes and that I owed them a sum of money. They claimed I owed £4000 from between 2013 and 2017. If you get a call like this, don't share any details. Instead, look up the genuine HMRC contact info yourself. Somebody pretending to be from HMRC said I owe about £4,000 from an audit and that the police were on their way to arrest me for fraud. Got a voicemail from them. Last I heard, HMRC doesn’t do recorded calls or shout threats - this has scam written all over it!

Got a call from a lady who sounded American, bit nasal, talking about "customs" and stuff being "extremely urgent." Felt like a scam right away so I just ended the call. It caught me off guard for a bit but I didn’t really pay much attention after that.

Just got a call from this number saying the police are coming because I haven’t paid my tax. Told them to bring 'em on. What a load of rubbish. Can’t believe how much that call probably cost me.

I got a voicemail on my answerphone saying I had to ring back straight away or get in touch with a Solicitor. Otherwise, there'd be serious repercussions. Absolutely crazy.

Got a call from someone named Sarah Wilson (it was an automated voice) on 0203 287 5683 saying we’re being sued and must respond right away by ringing back that number. They stressed not to dismiss the message. WELL, I’m just gonna ignore it. The accent sounded North American but the number was from London. Seriously, leave me alone, I’m busy working here!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from HMRC asking for my details to "verify my identity". I played along and said I was just messing about on the call. Then I told them their number has over 1200 complaints online. The guy then said "people like you will burn in hell for what you've done." I told him to keep his angry religious rubbish to himself and said, "go to hell" lol (number’s blocked now).

Got a call supposedly from HMRC and it was really intimidating. I rang back and some guy with a strong accent launched into this super long spiel accusing me of tax evasion. I decided to mess around a bit since I had nothing better to do, and he even knew my correct home address just from the number I called. From the start, with the robotic voicemail and the dodgy language, it was obvious a scam. The English was all over the place, with weird casual phrases mixed with awkward words like they were trying too hard to sound official.

Just got a message telling me I had to ring back straight away or there'd be serious trouble because it was urgent. Since I use an app, I could tell it was a scam right away, but I reckon people using other apps might easily get caught out.

Got an automated call this morning around 8:09, claimed to be from H.M. Customs and Revenue. They warned they’d take legal steps if I didn’t call back. Obviously, I just hung up straight away and didn’t bother with it any further.

Got a call from a strange robot with an Asian tone but talking like a North American, claiming to be Sarah Wilson from HMRC. Honestly, I bet some unlucky folks might get fooled and end up giving away money. I've reported it to HMRC, fingers crossed they manage to block that number and take action against these lowlifes. It's really risky cause they could con people out of loads of their hard earned cash.

Just like everyone else, got a message from Sarah Wilson warning me that if I or my solicitor didn’t ring her back, there’d be consequences. Busy day for her, I guess, haha!

Got a robo call from a woman’s voice warning me to call back “or else” there’d be big legal trouble. Totally sounded like a scam to me, but I phoned just for a bit of fun since I was bored at work. I could hear the usual noisy call centre buzz in the background, and then I ended up speaking to a bloke who could barely speak proper English or understand what I was saying. If that was meant to be from HMRC, well, we’re in serious trouble. Now I’m just waiting for the police to knock on my door…
