7 yearsThey keep ringing like 3 or 4 times daily, no joke, every single day for ages now. We've asked them to stop but they just keep us on their list, it’s so annoying!8 yearsI got a call from this number, and the person said they were calling from British Gas - claimed they were based in the Canary Wharf office. Just a heads up, I'd be careful and avoid sharing any of your info with them. Sounds dodgy to me!British GasCanary Wharf8 yearsthis bloke called gary claiming he was from british gas. i refused to share any details with him, and out of nowhere he starts telling me he loves me. when i asked to speak to his boss, he just told me to f##k off. absolute madness!GaryBritish Gas8 yearsGot a call today yet again from some bloke claiming to be Ollie Garsia from the ‘renewals team’ at British Gas. The funny thing is, we’ve already sorted our renewal, so his calls are completely pointless. He rings me about 3 times every week, and he’s really quite cheeky! I suspected right away on the first call months ago that he’s no BG rep. Had another chat with him just now and he finally lost it after all this time trying to get my account details. Called me a right foul name, told me to f*** off, and then out of nowhere asked me to marry him! Proper loon that one.British GasBG9 yearsSome bloke rang me on Tuesday saying he was from British Gas, talking about renewing our contract. When I told him we aren’t with British Gas, out of nowhere he switched to saying he was from EDF, claiming they’re the same company or something. Both times I made it clear we’ve already sorted our electricity contract. Today, when I mentioned we renewed through a broker, the guy actually swore at the broker! I couldn’t believe it, so I asked him to say it again, and yep, he repeated it just like that! Couldn’t believe what I heard.EDFBritish Gas9 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be EDF energy, trying to get me to renew my contract. I told them I'd ring back later, but when I did, all I got was a random "hello!" No proper answer. I checked with EDF directly and they said that number isn't theirs at all. So, definitely avoid calling back.EDF EnergyEDF9 yearsThis number seems to be linked to plenty of telemarketing companies in Asia. I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was Mark, then he handed me over to Michael, a pricing specialist from Scottish Power. When I asked if I could ring back later with my choice, he gave me this number and told me to ask for 'Mark Edwards'. When I rang it, all I got was a plain "hello" and I ended the call. Then he rang me again, so I asked which company he was calling on behalf of, and after a bit of hesitation, he said "I’m from... (about 3-4 second pause)... British Gas". I said sorry and claimed I’d dialled wrong. He then asked if I wanted to speak to Sam. That pause before naming the company was the real giveaway. Not long after, I got another call from them pretending to be Eon... feels almost like harassment.AsiaMarkMichaelScottish PowerMark EdwardsGasSamEonSubmit Your Own Report (020 3287 3036)
