Got a call from 01442 780682, they left an automated message saying it’s from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, warning about some urgent matter and threatening court action if I didn’t ring back. Total scam, there’s no way it’s legit. Don’t even think about calling them back - just block the number straight away.

Over the past week and a half, my elderly dad got a few calls from this number. Each time, an automated voice claimed to be from HMRC, warning him about a court case and telling him to call back urgently. It's worrying stuff. I've already informed Action Fraud and the Information Commissioner's Office about it. Fingers crossed they manage to catch whoever's behind this scam.

These muppets just rang me up again from 01442-780682, threatening stuff. Earlier today I got a call from 0203-286-4400 saying I might get arrested or something. Then last Friday morning I had a similar call with the same threat from 0203-286-1060. Seems like they’re pestering loads of people these days.

About an hour ago, I got a recorded call telling me there was a court case from HMRC Tax department, ref TM1752. I rang the number they gave, 0203 286 4400, and someone answered with just “Hello” before hanging up. I called back about 30 minutes later and was told by a guy named Sam Dillick, PS 61625, that HMRC had a case against me. He said they sent a letter a month ago but it was sent back because I hadn’t signed for it. Sam asked if I had a lawyer to defend me but when I asked him to resend the letter or email it, I ended the call.

Got a robo call from a bloke saying he was from HMRC. He reckoned there was some complaint about me and that they’d already issued an arrest warrant. He threw out a reference number real quick and warned me to act fast or else. Sounded proper threatening and pretty unnerving. Tried ringing the number he gave me back, but it just rang once then cut off. Not a nice experience at all.

Got a call this morning from an Asian guy with the same spiel. I called them back, and they wanted my National Insurance number. Didn’t give it to them, so they just ended the call. About an hour ago I got a call from a man, no hello or anything, just started talking as soon as I answered. I was 83 and it was all a bit confusing at the start. Then he started shouting about the police and arrest, saying not to ignore the call. Honestly, he spoke so quickly I couldn’t make out what he wanted at all.
