I've been inundated with calls from this individual, even after I've taken the step to block them. It seems they’re linked to some kind of dodgy insurance scheme. Every single day, like clockwork, my phone rings with their number, and they've even attempted to flood my inbox with texts and multimedia messages (which I swiftly blocked as soon as it started). This has escalated to what I can only describe as harassment. I’ve done a bit of digging on other platforms, and it turns out they harvest information from surveys that individuals fill out, specifically honing in on those with insurance policies for various products. What a nuisance!

Totally a scam - they called about my washing machine cover running out. What freaked me out was they had my name, even with the odd spelling right, plus my exact address and postcode. Then he asked if I wanted to pay with the same card as before! I was almost fooled, but then told him to send me the details in writing. As soon as I said that, he just hung up on me.

So, I decided to ring D&G on their main line, 0800 5614493, just to check if it was them. The person on the other end told me loads of people have been complaining about these dodgy calls. Honestly, I’m more ticked off that they’re pretending to be a real company to scam folks than the fact they keep ringing me - I just keep blocking them. I’m curious who’s gonna stop first!

I rang my grandma to chat about the washing machine, and somehow they managed to know the address she lived at three decades ago! Plus, it was from a totally new phone number as well. Very weird!

Got a call from a bloke with a British accent about our insurance for the washing machine running out. Only issue is, the machine they talked about isn’t ours. I asked about a letter since we usually get one, and he goes on about how they're a 'Green company'. He promised to post the info over, wished me a nice day, then just hung up. Guess we’ll wait and see, haha!

Got a call at 12:48 on 16/5/18. I answered with my clearest phone voice, gave them the number, but there was nothing, just total silence. Pretty sure it was some kind of scam.

A while back, I took part in a phone survey and when they asked me about my washing machine, I gave them a different brand than what I actually own. Now, whenever those calls come through, they always mention the wrong machine. I admit I fibbed, but honestly, so do they - and then they try to get you to share your bank info! Feels like those surveys and callers are in cahoots. Just be careful out there.

I dont understand why these callers wont stop, we always let the answer machince go before we pick up if it's a number we dont reconise. Just today they called again, sounded friendly at first but the second the answwer machince started they hung up. i've blocked the number now, its getting on my nerves.

We've gotten a couple of calls like this one, one today and another on the 11th of May. I usually don’t bother answering calls from numbers I don’t recognise or haven’t saved in my contacts. My rule is if it’s really important, they’ll leave a voicemail. So I decided to look up this number online and stumbled across this site. From what I’ve read here, it sounds like a scam where they push you to renew some sort of washing machine warranty you might never have had, especially not through them. Don’t ever give out your name or address - they’re just guessing numbers anyway.

Now they're doing the silent call trick. Feels like some twisted payback for all the hassle these calls cause. I've just dropped a message to my phone company asking why none of the networks offer free “call blockers” to customers. That would stop this nonsense dead in its tracks. But honestly, it looks like neither the providers nor the Government give a damn. What worries me most are the old folks and those who are vulnerable. Being elderly myself, I see how different things are nowadays. Sure, there are lots of good changes, but just as many downsides too.

It went quiet for ages with loads of noise in the background. I kept calling out “hello” a few times until a bloke with an English accent answered. He said he was from DAG and that they’d been covering my washing machine insurance for three years now. I told him I didn't have any insurance on it. He got a bit pushy, insisting it was insured because they had arranged it. When I asked him what brand and model was covered, he just hung up on me.

This morning, a guy rang my landline (Friday 11th May 2018) claiming my washing machine protection had expired today. He said he was offering to renew it for £79, which he said was cheaper than last year’s price. I didn’t catch the exact company name, but it sounded like “D&G” or something similar. He mentioned he could take card payment and wanted to charge me for three years upfront. I then put the call on speaker so my wife could hear as well. When we questioned him about the cover, because we don’t actually have one, he just hung up. Total scam!

He was pushing me to get their cover and pay by credit card. I asked him to send me some info by email but never got anything. Now the number’s blocked. The name he gave sounded real similar to Domestic & General, which had me a bit suspicious.

Things got fishy when he wanted my bank details, so i asked why he needed them and ended the call. Then a couple of hours later he phoned back claiming our service was disconnected! Just about an hour back, I got a call from a friendly lady with a very British accent. She was looking for my wife and told me our washing machine warranty ended today. They were offering some kind of deal to renew it for three more years. She also wanted to know if the machine had given us any trouble over the past year. Thing is, we’ve never actually insured that old washing machine. I’m pretty sure if I had gone along with it, they’d have tried to get my bank card info or something.

I knew straight away it was dodgy coz my machine's at least 30 years old, no way it’d still be under warranty. When I asked for the date the warranty ended, he said he didn’t have that info. This morning they called again and the bloke was really rude, demanding to know who I was but he wouldn’t say who he was and just kept talking over me.

Some guy rang me up trying to get me to pay £199 to stretch my washing machine warranty from one year to two years, said it was normally £299 but I was getting a special deal. At first, I thought he was legit and asked him to call back in a day. Turns out, we actually have a 5 year warranty on it and we only bought the machine about six months back.
