They called asking for my card info to renew some washing machine warranty. Told them I don’t even own a washing machine and joked they could smell my pants if they don’t believe me. Next thing, they just cut me off!

My mum just got a call from this number, so I looked it up online. They tried to sell her a “policy renewal” but we already know Domestic and General renew automatically. It’s a complete scam! The guy just wanted to know the expiry date. He said he’ll ring back around 5:30, and I’m ready to give him a piece of my mind. Cheers for all the heads up in the comments!

A bloke called Albert insisted on talking to my missus, claiming he was from D+G about a washing machine service deal. He then started asking for the expiry date on her bank card. She got suspicious and passed the phone to me. The contract's actually under my name, and he even had the wrong address for us. I flat out told him we don’t hand over any personal info to strangers on the phone. After that, he twigged he wasn’t getting any info and hung up.

Got a call from a bloke who spoke proper posh English, had my full name and address, saying my washing machine insurance needed renewing. I told him I never even took out any insurance with them, and then he just hung up on me! So rude. Does he seriously reckon we’re that daft? Watch out, this is definitely a SCAM.

Got a call from a guy saying he was from the firm that insured my washing machine, telling me my cover had run out and asking if I wanted to renew it. I don’t have any insurance for my washing machine, so I told him no thanks. He just cut the call straight away. Sounds like a dodgy attempt to get bank info. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with D&G about insuring my washing machine. I rang up Domestic & General directly to check and they confirmed they hadn’t contacted me. Pretty clear it was a scam.

A guy with a really polite voice called and asked for me by my full name. But as soon as I asked who was calling, he just hung up straight away! After seeing what others have written about similar calls, I think I’ll label this one as "Dangerous".

So, I saw a couple of calls from this number but didn’t pick up at first. When I got round to answering, they acted like *I* was the one calling them and sounded really quite unfriendly.

Today, I got a call from someone pretending to sort out insurance renewal for my washing machine, which apparently was about to expire. Thing is, I don’t even have insurance for my washing machine! The lady was super convincing though, could probably trick quite a few folks.
