11 yearsGot a call from 0203 2394813, some bloke saying he was Barry Palmer from the Ministry of Justice. He told me I had £4600 waiting from a bank, with a cheque number and everything. Then he said some guy called Steve would be coming over to hand me the cheque but first, I had to sign some form and cough up £230 through a Paysafe voucher. It just doesn’t make sense - why can’t they just deduct the £230 from the £4600? You end up losing the £230 and then the cheque bounces anyway, so you’re left out of pocket. Total scam if you ask me.Barry PalmerMinistry of JusticeSteve11 yearsI got a call from a woman named Anisa Abdi saying I was owed £2,280. Since I’ve been sorting a claim with my bank recently, I guessed it might be connected. But then she mentioned that a solicitor would ring me to have me sign some documents, which made me suspicious. Things got worse when she said I needed to buy a £220 Paysafe voucher. Luckily, I checked the reviews here first - saved me from a scam!Anisa Abdi11 yearsHey everyone, just wanted to say this is totally a scam. I'm not getting anything from posting this, just letting you know since I buy and sell on eBay a lot. Stay careful out there!11 yearsjustice department called me out of the blue, claiming they wanted to verify my info so they can send me a payout. sounds fishy right? total scammers of the lowest quality! i just hung up and laughed it off. i even joked that they should keep the "money" they say i’m owed and maybe spend it on their own english lessons!Department of Justice11 yearsThanks to the Ministry of Justice, I managed to get my PPI and BOC refunds, which was brilliant. I’m really chuffed to have received £6200. Huge thanks!BOCMinistry of Justice11 yearsNever hand over any money!11 yearsOn 29/06 we got a call similar to what the other person described, all about some PPI cheque and a Jim Taylor bloke. What freaked us out was how much this caller seemed to know about our long-gone financial stuff. We rang up the Ministry of Justice straight away, and they said they knew exactly who Jim Taylor was and told us it was definitely a scam. Apparently they’re treating it seriously and have handed over everything to the fraud squad to sort out.Jim TaylorMinistry of Justice11 yearsI keep receiving calls from this number, and they keep claiming they've got money waiting for me.
