They’ve been ringing me off and on for the past few weeks and every time I picked up I just said I was busy and ended the call. Finally answered today, some woman with an Asian accent saying my Virgin/O2 sim was going to be disabled in two days and that a new one would be dispatched tomorrow. I told her I'd look up her number and then I hung up. She called me back straight away but I didn’t bother answering. I’m definitely blocking this number now.

Got two calls from this number back to back, but I didn’t pick up and just ended up blocking it.

Got a call from this number claiming to be O2, saying my SIM was gonna be disabled soon because of some service issues linked to a merger with Virgin. She asked for my phone number and email, but I told her she’d have that info if she was legit. I said I’d report her and block the number straight away. Funny thing is, it showed up on my phone as ITutorPlus. Definitely felt fishy.

Got a call claiming to be from O2, asking for my email so they could send a code for two-factor verification. Definitely a scam, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away!

Some woman with a South Asian accent phoned me saying she was from O2. When I told her it sounded like a scam, she got all defensive and asked how I could think that. Thing is, if it really was O2, they wouldn’t be ringing me up since I’m registered with TPS.

I got two calls in a row from this number but there was no voicemail left. When I called back, keeping my number private, an automated voice told me the number couldn’t be found!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, said my signal was dropping and I needed to get a new SIM card. Turns out if you do that, the scammer can get control over everything you do on your phone. Seriously, watch out for this sort of thing, it’s super risky!

Someone rang claiming to be with O2, telling me that Virgin users had been moaning about bad signal and that they’d sort me out with a new SIM, blocking my old number too. Then they asked for my email, which I thought was odd since they should already have it. It all felt really sketchy, so I ended the call straight away and put them on my block list.

Just got a call from 020 3239 4747 and honestly, they were pretty persistent. I never pick up from numbers I don’t recognise, especially with that 020 prefix, so I left it ringing while I checked it out. It went on for 27 double rings straight (yeah, they really wanted to catch me). Probably another one of those boring pitches about a new phone, double glazing, or some dodgy home improvements. In the end, before I even got involved, they gave up. So tedious, not even worth calling a scam.

Today I got a phonecall from someone saying they were from o2, telling me they were sending me a new 5G SIM card because loads of people had been complaining about bad signal. It didn’t feel right so I hung up straight away. Then I got another call back, and the woman was quite pushy, asking “Why did you hang up, Mam?” I told her I thought it might be a scam, and she was desperate for me to stay on the phone to show it was real. I just ended the call again.

Got a call from some foreign lady warning my SIM would get blocked or something. I told her, "Don’t you get tired of trying to scam folks?" She just chuckled and then slammed the phone down.

I just told them they should find a proper job because no one really needs people like that around.

I received a call from a woman with a rather unusual accent, claiming to be representing the merger of O2 and Virgin Media. She insisted that I needed to obtain a new SIM card. I decided it was best to just hang up.

Yeah, pretty much the same here. They said my SIM card was going to get blocked but they'd send me a replacement. When I said the call was making me uneasy, she just said goodbye and ended it.

Out of the blue, I got a voicemail about some issue with my O2 account. I phoned O2 straight away and they told me everything was fine, so I reckon it was a scam. Quite irritating as it happened right when I had a phone interview for Universal Credit booked in.

Got a call from someone saying my SIM card was blocked. When I called them out on the scam, they actually started laughing and said they found scamming people quite amusing. Bit of a weird experience!

Got a call from a woman abroad claiming something about O2 and Virgin Media. Problem is, I’m not a customer of either. She warned me my SIM would be blocked in two days. I told her that’s not happening, feeling it was a scam, and she just hung up. I see you mention the number might be linked to Vodafone, but I’m not with them either, so it definitely feels dodgy to me.
