Got a call from this number today 25/9/17, some bloke with an ‘asian’ accent claiming to be from 3 network. He kept going on about customers moaning about Smarty and ID services, seemed dead eager to get me to confirm my account and number info - proper annoying! I told him everything’s fine with my service, so what’s the deal then? He just hung up on me.

Just got a phone call from someone with an accent I couldn't quite catch. I ended up rambling about how I almost fell down the stairs - nearly had a proper accident! I mentioned that the only person with my landline number is my daughter. I made it clear to the guy that he had no business ringing me up. Definitely a dodgy call - but thankfully my BT Call Guardian sorted it out for me. I’m convinced that’s the only proper way to deal with all these annoying calls. Feel sorry for the person who mentioned their parents are unwell - seriously, get some call blocking software, it’s like magic! I still use a corded phone so I can hear it ring once, spot the phone icon with a red line, and know the caller’s been given a straight-up “buzz off” message!

Just got a call a little while ago from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from Windows Technical Support. He told me to switch on my PC quickly because apparently someone was trying to hack it and that they’d been getting loads of error notifications. When I asked him where exactly he was calling from, he just said, “No rush, just turn on your computer.” I didn’t bother and ended the call. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming he was with the TPS checking if I still get spam calls. I told him yes, including this very call. He went on jabbering nonsense I couldn’t make sense of. Ended up losing my temper and told him straight not to bother ringing again. So annoying! Grrrrrrrrr.

Got a call from an Indian guy who just started jabbering away in his language and then suddenly ended the call. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent trying to sell cheap phone calls. I told him I was tied into a contract with BT, and he got really rude and hung up on me. Proper scammers, those ones.

Got a call from the same number three times today, first two times it dropped as soon as I picked up. The guy speaking sounded Asian and claimed he was from BT, said there was an issue with my broadband and someone was trying to use it without permission. I asked him why he thought it was BT since I’m with SKY, he kept going but gave up when I told him I just have a tablet.

On the fifth, I told them straight up I knew they were a scam and ended the call. No sooner had I hung up than another call came back demanding I listen, still insisting they were BT. I warned them I'd report them to the police for pretending to be BT.

Got a call today from some idiot talking about a car crash I supposedly had. I’ve never been in any accident. After asking them a few times what they were on about, they just kept saying the same rubbish. In the end, I just dropped the call on the muppet.

Got a call the other day where the person wanted to talk to my husband about some feedback on a washing machine. When I said I wasn’t sure why he’d be the one to answer that, the guy told me to just use “common sense” and then started calling me a white *! Had to set that bloke straight, reminded him a bit about manners, especially considering he’s from a different background. Proper cheeky.

Got a call from an Indian woman who asked for my name and address, I told her maybe. Then she asked if I was over 40, I simply replied maybe again. Afterwards she asked if everything was working fine, I said I only had a phone and since we were using it, it should be ok.

Got a call non stop from this number, they said my line rental was gonna go down and said they were from Telecom UK. I told them I don’t have BT and asked the caller what they wanted, then they just hung up. After that I looked them up online and found out it was a total scam! What a load of rubbish!!!!!!

Got a call earlier today from someone asking me to confirm my postcode. I wasn’t having any of it and asked who exactly I was talking to. The bloke said his name was Peter, but that seemed a bit dodgy as his accent was definitely not local. I said no again and he claimed he was calling from Hotpoint about my washing machine. I told him I’d never owned a Hotpoint and warned I was about to hang up. That’s when he started getting nasty, telling me to F off. I told him the same, and then things got a bit out of hand - he threatened to come round and do all sorts. I held my ground and ended the call. Pretty unsettling, to be honest. Tried calling the number back but it just wouldn’t go through.

Got a call from this number - 02931988128 - they said they were from BT Openreach (mind, NOT just Openreach as that’s the actual company name now). They wanted to chat about my BT router, which I don’t even have. In the end, I just wasted their time on purpose and they hung up. Meanwhile, today alone I got 4 calls from different numbers all claiming to be from BT Openreach within a few hours.

Today I told him to stop calling me, especially since I ‘caught’ something dodgy from his mum ;O) The calls are all silent, where you’re left waiting on hold until some rep picks up. Honestly, if they keep ringing with this nonsense, I’m gonna lose my temper with whoever’s on the other end who doesn’t deserve it. Feels like the whole point is just to make you say "Yes," which apparently could then be used to prove who you are and maybe even take money from your accounts. I don’t have any accounts that use voice ID, but from now on, I’m not replying with a simple "Yes" to anyone.

But she just kept asking basically the same thing in different words! So in the end, I just ended the call.
