I answered the call and for some reason they just hung up right away.

Got a call from this number, they started by saying my name and area, then asked if I was older than 75 and if I was satisfied with my banking and card services. They just ended the call without warning. Blocked the number straight away.

Avoid picking up this number. When I did, the person on the other end turned nasty in no time and even said they’d start calling me at 1 in the morning. No clue who it was, but they were seriously unpleasant.

This number has called me twice now. The caller was an Asian man who somehow knew my name and old postcode. When I told him that I no longer lived at that postcode, he tried to get me to give my current one, but I wouldn’t share it. He claimed to be ringing from Nationwide bank both times and even asked if I was over 79 years old. I told him not to call me again. The first time the call came through as unknown, but the second time it showed as 02031988127. Let’s see what happens next...

Got a call on my phone but I don’t pick up when it’s a number I don’t know. After reading all the comments here, it seems like I’m doing the right thing. There has to be some way to stop these scammers, it’s getting ridiculous!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Nationwide. She asked me to verify my name and postcode, then wanted to know if I was satisfied with my bank and if I was under 79 years old. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from some Indian bloke asking for (my name). I said who’s this, and he said it was Nationwide checking my postcode (which I gave right) and then asked if I was 79 or older. Seemed like a sneaky attempt to get info or get me to say yes. Usually I ignore unknown numbers but thought it was work related. What a load of rubbish.

A woman rang me up saying she was from Nationwide Building Society and she even used my name and knew my postcode. When I asked if I'd requested the call, she just ended the call straight away. Quite odd!

Got a call from a woman with a really thick Indian accent earlier and honestly, I think I might’ve done it all wrong. She asked for my name and I said “speaking.” Then she mentioned something about Truro or a similar place. She tried to check my postcode, but weirdly she said my old one and I just said “yeah, that’s right” without thinking. Then she asked if I had a Samsung or an iPhone, so I replied “iPhone, why?” because I actually do have one. Next she wanted to know if it was a 5, 6 or 7 model, and I told her “6”, curious what was going on. She said they were just updating their system and asked if I was under 79 years old, which I am, so I said yes. Then she said “ok thanks, bye” and ended the call. Now I’m getting a bit anxious… could that be one of those scams where they record you saying “yes” and use your voice for something dodgy? Tried calling the number back but it just hung up straight away! Really don’t know what to think now.

I got a call the other day from someone claiming they were from my bank. They asked if I was satisfied with the services on my card, and when I said I was, they just ended the call straight away. It felt a bit off, so I tried reaching out to the bank myself. Once I hear back from them, I’ll share what they say.

Received a call from a bloke speaking with a thick Indian accent, saying he was from Nationwide Bank. He asked if my postcode was something that was actually my old one. I told him Nationwide isn’t really a bank, it’s a Building Society, and if I was a customer they’d know my right postcode. Don’t reply, it’s definitely a scam.

Picked up the phone and as soon as they heard me they just cut off. Sounds like it was supposedly someone from Nationwide but the accent was very Indian. I rang Nationwide myself last week to see if it was legit and they said nah, it’s a scam. Apparently, Nationwide never calls from 0800 numbers or hides their caller ID. Best to just ignore it. Only annoying thing is they keep switching the numbers they use.

I got a call that just hung up straight away, but then the same number called back. A guy with an Asian accent said his name was Robin and actually used my name, which was a bit creepy. He asked what kind of washing machine I had, and when I asked why, he said it was for some kind of research. I told him I don’t own one at all. Then he tried to check my postcode, but I told him I’m on the TPS list and didn’t want any market research calls. He just ended the call right away. Honestly, it seemed pretty sketchy, so I’d recommend not picking up if you get a call from them.

Got a call from this lot recently. Some bloke with a thick accent was asking me something about my washing machine, or at least I think that's what he said. I told him I didn’t really know much about the brand and he pretty much hung up on me after that. Another one added to the block list.
