I couldn’t make much sense of what she was on about, but when they asked for my bank details to send the money, I said no. Then I told them they could just take the money using my Bank Account and Sort Code via Direct Debit, and they hung up right away. Seriously, don’t even think about falling for this con. I work in IT and warn people about scams like this all the time. If someone’s offering you cash for nothing, it’s definitely not legit.

Got a call from an Indian gentleman with very broken English saying I’d won something in a postcode lottery. I told him I never entered and asked for a cheque for my winnings. They keep ringing up asking for Mr Jenkins, even tho I told them loads of times to take my number off their list. I don’t know any Jenkins here! After loads of hassle I blocked the number, but then they just start calling from different ones. Honestly, I might just disconnect me landline, it’s getting ridiculous :)

A bloke called around 9.45 this mornin, said he had a discount card for us. My husband told him we’re not interested in these calls… then the guy suddenly started asking for a million quid!

same old asian guy going on about how i won some postcode lottery or whatever. after a while i just got fed up with the spiel and hung up. think we both just ended up wasting some time, scammer and person who’s got more important stuff to do.

I've been receiving sporadic calls from this lot for quite a few years now. Each time, they seem to be searching for the same individual, who, as far as I know, hasn't been associated with this number in over a decade-possibly even longer! I received two calls from them today alone; it’s just so incredibly annoying…

I got a call where they used my name and claimed to be from the Postcode Lottery. I wasn’t really keen, so I just said no thanks and hung up straight away. I only picked up because I thought it might be something legit.

Got a call from a guy saying he was with Aviva life insurance. I said I don’t have any policies with Aviva and he just ended the call straight away. Creepy thing was, he actually knew my name. Seems like a scam, so watch out!

This morning, I got a rather puzzling call from this number, claiming that my address had made the cut in some sort of Postcode Lottery draw, and apparently, I'd landed a villa holiday for six along with a cash prize of £300. Naturally, I was sceptical, so I rang up the Postcode Lottery, only to discover they had no record of any such thing. In my excitement-or perhaps foolishness-I ended up sharing my bank account details, expecting them to transfer the cash. Following this, I contacted my bank, and they advised me to keep a close eye on my Direct Debits. Quite the dodgy situation, isn’t it?

Got a call from some bloke called "Eric" claiming to be from the postcode lottery. He wanted to verify my phone number, address and postcode, all info that's already out there publicly. Pretty sure it's just another dodgy scam trying to catch folks out. Total waste of time!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from the postcode lottery. She asked me to grab my chequebook and give her the cheque number, promising I’d get £300 worth of vouchers. Seemed a bit off to me.

I saw a missed call from this number but didn’t pick up, and they never left a voicemail or anything.

Ignored this number since it was most likely just some more scammers, con artists, and fraudsters. It’s shocking how little action is actually taken by the authorities to crack down on these dodgy calls.
