Got a call saying it was from Amazon on my home phone. Told the woman on the other end she was a complete fraud and really ought to be embarrassed. She just hung up on me! Honestly, if Amazon were straight with us and told people how they actually treat folks, I bet loads would tell them to shove off and find proper work. It baffles me how these scammers have been at it for so long - who’s selling them these numbers? Surely the trail would lead back to these dreadful groups just out to rip us off.

A woman named Stella (pretty sure that’s not her real name) rang me up saying she could offer cheaper insurance for my household gadgets. When I asked her which appliances we already covered with her firm, she got all flustered and seemed totally lost. Then I asked which company she actually represented, and when I told her I’d never heard of them and had no links with them, she just went quiet and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam. Seriously, don’t hand over any of your personal info to these people!

this bloke with a really heavy indian accent called me saying he had some great news. he went on about how they could lower my monthly insurance fees for kitchen stuff. i asked if that was true and he said yeah. then i told him i actually dont have any insurance on my kitchen appliances so how could they cut something i dont even pay for? sounded like just another scam trying to get my info.
