The bloke sounded really annoyed when I said again that we’re not interested and that we already told someone that last week. Someone said they were from the Government's Dept of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. They ring up trying to talk to specific people, usually ones you can find easily online. I put them on hold a bit to track down the person they wanted, but when I got back the call was cut off. Seems like whoever’s behind these calls has some sort of silly target to hit and is just pestering businesses. I’d say be cautious if you get a call from this number.

Sounded quite professional and polite, doing a survey about businesses involved in or considering international trade. She also asked about any government adverts we might’ve come across. Most of her questions focused on those adverts and whether they’ve had any impact on how we conduct international business. The only details she asked for were about the business itself, nothing personal or private, just stuff that’s pretty common knowledge anyway.

But calling at 5.30pm on a Sunday does feel a bit strange, and since others say they're getting various stories, it's hard to tell what's really going on.

i got a call from a company named restart about some survey, which funny enough is what im actually with right now. but getting a call at 8:30pm on a friday felt a bit dodgy so i told them to ring back on monday (when i’ll actually contact the real restart office) just to be sure. now its saturday morning and they’ve already called again at 10am. honestly, its just making me more suspicious. i’ll post an update once ive heard from the legit company.
