When I picked up the phone, there was nothing but silence on the other end, so I just ended the call right away. It felt a bit dodgy, and after reading what others have said, I’m pretty sure it was a dodgy number. The call came from 02031872975.

Some bloke with an Asian accent called me claiming his name was "Garry" and promised I’d get half off my shopping at Morrison's next time. Sure, like that’s going to happen. I let him chat for a bit, then got fed up and ended the call.

Receiving a call at 21:03 raises some eyebrows, doesn't it? One would think it merits some attention from the authorities, wouldn’t you agree?

This number keeps ringing me daily, occasionally even two or three times a day. I've blocked it to avoid being bothered, yet it still shows up in my call log.

I swear, this number shows up on my phone so often, I lose count of how many times they ring in a day. Thank goodness for call blocker apps, otherwise I'd be going mad answering every single time.

Someone saying they were from BT called me, but I told them we don’t have a BT number. When I asked to speak to their manager to remove us from their list, they didn’t want to. They even got our surname wrong, which makes sense since we often get dodgy calls like this. They said they could sort it out without involving their boss, but after I pushed back, they just hung up. We're registered with Ofcom’s telephone preference service, so these calls shouldn’t be happening anyway.

I keep receiving calls around tea time, specifically between 5 and 6 in the evening, but whenever I answer, it’s just crickets on the other end. Quite peculiar, isn’t it? What on earth could be the point of that?

I usually just let the answerphone pick up if the number’s not saved in my contacts. Most times they don’t bother leaving a message, and I’m pretty sure they’re dodgy calls trying to scam or something. It’s annoying because it happens almost every day. Honestly, best to just ignore them.

They kept ringing me a few times this week, one call came through about 8.30 in the evening. Every time it goes to voicemail, there's no message left. I'm fairly certain the number is from London.

Got a call from someone saying they were a manager at Tesco telling me I'd receive a £50 voucher. They kept asking loads of stuff like my age, postcode, what energy company I use, and even what washing machine I’ve got. They said I could get free washing powder too. After all the questions, the only personal info I ended up giving was that I’m semi retired and my postcode. Felt odd and kinda sketchy honestly.

I've been receiving calls from this number consistently, usually two or three times a day. Oddly enough, they never leave any messages on my voicemail. It's quite annoying as they just hang up the moment the answering machine kicks in.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Tesco, apparently dishing out vouchers, and they were inquiring about whether I was retired. When I clarified that I wasn't the person they were after, their tone suddenly escalated and they began shouting about why I had led them to believe I was that individual. It was quite an experience, to say the least! The communication was very muddled, to the point where I could hardly make out what they were saying. It left a rather unpleasant impression!

Similar to many others, I typically allow my voicemail to handle incoming calls from this number, and they invariably disconnect. It's rather annoying, particularly since they tend to ring during the evening hours-likely in the hopes of tricking me into believing it's a family member or a friend. I'm not quite sure who they are, but I've chosen to simply disregard their calls.

Never agree to anything or give out your name or where you live if you get one of these calls. Just ask them who they're supposed to be and often they’ll get rude or start swearing. If you want to see what I mean, have a look up HMRC or "yes scam" calls on YouTube, kinda funny how most of them seem to be from people in India. Also, just picking up the phone tells them the number is active, so expect it to get passed around to even more pushy scammers (your bank might have some info about this too!).

I received a rather peculiar call the other day. The chap on the line came across as unusually hesitant and rather slow in his speech. When I pressed him for details about his purpose, he claimed he was going to assist me in having my name taken off some sort of cold calling list.
