My partner got a ring from a woman with an Indian accent claiming there was an issue with our phone line. He told her to call back later so he could chat with me once I got home from the shops. We then rang our internet supplier to check, and they said nobody had reached out to us. Later, the same number called again, this time saying they were from BT and that there was a fault with our internet. I told the caller I’d given their number to the police, and she just said “have a nice day” before hanging up.

Well, at least we can pin down where this con artist is based! No surprise he’s got such a decent-sized place, considering he’s always tricking people out of their money!

Got a call from a lady claiming she was from BT, even though I’m not a customer with them at all. She was pushing me to get on my laptop and visit some link because apparently, there were some dodgy users on my internet. Felt a bit dodgy so I looked up the number here before doing anything - luckily I did! Also, she said her name was Shelly Jackson but had a clear Indian accent, which seemed a bit off to me.
