Got a call from someone claiming to be with the 'tax office' - they were quite pushy and not very polite. They said I had to go to court because of some unpaid tax I supposedly owed. They were quite pushy, warning me I'd be in serious trouble if I didn't pay up that day. Then, the very next day, they rang back nonstop, again demanding the payment and stressing that it had to be paid immediately.

These little scammers were ringing me from something called Denuo Data Response call centre. I tried to find info on them but turns out they dont really exist. There is a Denuo Data company, but this was just a cover I reckon because their ‘office’ is really an accountants firm. I’ve gone ahead and reported it to the police just in case.

I got a call and they left a voicemail saying I had to get in touch straight away or else legal action would follow. I rang them back and they said I’d dialled the wrong number, but then asked if I was Mrs Apps. Being daft, I said no and gave my surname anyway. I then read the number they’d called from back to them, and they just hung up. Later, after I’d been out, they called again and left another message. I chose not to call back. It did make me uneasy back then, and now I’m pretty sure something fishy was going on.
