Got loads of calls from someone about investing online. They reckoned I’d turned £250 into £1000 and were ready to send it back to my wallet! They wanted me to install Anydesk on my laptop, but I told them I wasn’t home for a few hours and asked them to ring back later. Instead, they kept ringing non stop, like 4 times in just a handful of minutes, all of which I rejected. I’m well-aware that Anydesk is often used by scammers to hijack computers. So yeah, I’ve blocked their number now.

So, this lady called saying she was with LBLV investments and told me I supposedly had $10,000 growing in my account. She wanted my bank info to "send" me the money. Since I’ve been scammed before and never put anything into that firm, I just ended the call right away. Wouldn't trust it for a second.

They said they were calling from BT, but the moment I started asking questions, they got all dodgy. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Honestly, it's just a straight up scam. They said they're from BT Openreach about my internet, but the calls came through on my mobile, which has nothing to do with my broadband - my landline handles that. The easiest thing to do is just call them out on being a con and tell them to get lost.

Got a call from someone saying they were with "BT Broadband," warning me that my internet service was about to be cut off due to malware and dodgy links on my connection. I didn’t buy it and just ended the call.

Had a call from someone saying they were from BT OpenReach, said there was some dodgy stuff going on with my internet connection. Got me all nervous about my line being messed with.

I got a call from a woman who sounded either Kurdish or Romanian, she spoke with a thick English accent and started yammering on about problems with my internet security and wifi. She then asked if I'd shared my wifi password with anyone, and I said no, telling her I use a long, complex password with letters and numbers. The moment I said that, she just ended the call. Watch out folks, don’t give these people any personal info, total muppets!

Got a call with an Asian accent saying "Your internet has been sending out spam recently". I asked for the phone number they were talking about and suddenly the line just dropped.

Someone pretending to be from BT Openreach rang me, saying my internet IP was hacked and being misused, but told me not to worry. Then they tried selling me some kind of security service. When I said I wasn’t interested, they started acting really rude.

Somebody called saying they were from Sky and that they supply all the internet in the UK! I’m not even a Sky customer! They claimed my internet had been hacked and was involved in some dodgy activity. Tried to push me their “security package” or whatever. I just told them to get lost, what a total scam!

I got a phone call from someone claiming to be with British Telecommunications, saying they’re the biggest internet provider here in the UK. She insisted that they were my internet supplier, but I told her they weren't. She kept going on about how they’re the largest provider and that I should recognise them as mine. When I firmly said no, she actually started getting quite rude. I called her out, saying it sounded like a scam, and she just told me to f##k off a couple of times before slamming the phone down.

Got a call earlier from a place claiming to be the "Traffic Accident Advice Centre," mentioning an accident I supposedly was involved in and even named the other party. When I asked for more info about who they were and how they had my details, the line just went dead. Be careful, don't share any info straight away, but do ask who’s calling and how they got your number before you say anything.

Got a call from this number, some bloke called Billy claiming to be from the Traffic Accident Advisory Service, saying he was checking up on the help I got after an accident. The moment I asked if they were a "government agency," he just hung up on me without a word. Rude as anything, like one of those ambulance chasers! Honestly, Billy, something’s fishy here. How do they even get our details to make these calls? From what I went through, I’d say it’s harassment, and I can imagine it could be quite worrying for someone not as tough as me.

Got a call from some firm, sounded really dodgy and wouldn’t say who they were or where they were calling from. As soon as I mentioned I already have a solicitor, they just ended the call. Definitely felt like those ambulance chaser types.

The so-called Traffic Accident Advice Centre got really defensive as soon as I hinted I knew they weren’t legit. They wouldn’t give me any proper address or contact info, just kept saying they worked for the Motor Insurance Bureau. Yeah, right. I’m honestly shocked my info’s been sold off once more, and I’m bracing myself for being bombarded with calls all day again like before.

Got a call from this number claiming to be insurance regulators checking if my insurance provider was legit. They started talking about possible injuries my wife and I might have had and then asked for our national insurance numbers, which really raised my suspicions. I told them I’d contact my insurance company myself and have since blocked the number because they kept ringing back.

Got a call where they knew everything about my crash, but the moment they learnt I'd already hired different solicitors, they just cut the call. Best not bother picking up.

I received a call from someone purporting to represent my insurance company. Upon expressing my disinterest, the caller suddenly claimed that my policy was null and void, threatening to cancel it altogether. Naturally, I ended the conversation right there. Afterward, I contacted my actual insurance provider, only to discover they had no knowledge of this so-called notification. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

This call seemed pretty genuine at first, nothing like the typical "you’ve been in a crash" scams. They even mentioned my car details, names, and the stuff on my insurance policy. When I asked who they were, they said they were linked to my insurance provider. But later on, the same number rang again and that’s when I got suspicious. I gave the info to my insurance, and then blocked the number on my phone. Be careful and don’t pick up on 02031292459, they claim to be from traffic accident management.

Got a call from someone saying they were from accident support after some fender bender we had last week. They knew our names and car info, which was a bit weird. When I questioned a few things and asked for a phone number to ring them back, they just ended the call. Definitely felt like those dodgy ambulance chasers.
